The 68 support is just eaten up below the battery box guess I'll just rebuild the bottom of the support. May have to come check yours out sometime, your 4 hours away. This will be my boys first truck, if I get it done, the cab seems to be the biggest job to be done.

Just read your whole build. Truck is going to be awesome. I like the Torque Thrusts, that's what I want to run on mine when the time comes. That paint color is going to look sweet. Tell the painter alright already. We want color!! Lol

Re: My 68 swb build.

He's suppose to finish wet sanding the cab and pressure wash the cab to get it ready for tack cloth and spray primer and paint. He swears it will be painted before Friday. I think he's said that three times already!! I have two concerns on the cab one is under the drivers side dash where the metal overlaps.....I missed it when going over the truck... I wire wheeled it and removed almost all the rust but couldn't get in between the two pieces hope the acid gets it and stops the pricess. I know he's gonna seam seal the whole cab and apply some gelly or something I dunno what it is but its suppose to turn what's left into epoxy?? And the other is the lower pilliar that bolts the lower fender to the cab. I did the same thing to it. Hope it works. Other than that......ya. justa waiting.

Thanks. It's hard to work on it when I'm at work all the time. Let alone how slow the painter is. Oh also got the door hinges ground down for the one piece window kit. Hope I don't have to do it twice.

Finally got off in time to drop off the srat. hes gonna save the cover. And recover it in some expensive black soft type vinyl. He said he'll make it show quality ....400 bucks for seat covered doors and sunvisors. Is that a bad deal? And that's him supplying materials.

Ya but I don't like dealing with him honestly. He's such an ass and thinkd he has the best parts in Houston. Lol. His carpet is what he gets from his vendor and has no options, like this one has the carpet for gas tank removed and different fiber choices. And what is spend in gas and time just to see him and his wife? HA!! Only if I have to. If I can't get it from someone on the board, locally, eBay, Craigslist then I will go to him. He tried to sell me a front sway bar with stock brackets that were all bent up and pitted so bad for 175 bucks!! I said are u kidding me? He said awe there fine just bend them back and blast them they'll be just fine. Ha!!! I think not...

He isn't known for his people skills! He is absolutely a strict business person with very little in the personality department. But he has been alright with me so far.
