Great build! allot of useful information you got here. I have a question, maybe you or some one following the build can help me out.
Is it possible to remove either one of these plugs (pointed out by the red arrows) for an oil pressure sending unit? the 6.0L im working with has an external oil cooler that i would like to keep, thats why the pictured setup would not work for me. unless i tap in to one of the lines but im thinking that if i tap the return line i might not get the most accurate PSI reading. |
Re: '67 5.3L Build Thread
I wish I knew, but I can't say for certain.

Im not completely sure, but I think those are coolant plugs There is a oil pressure port on top of the block, behind the intake. http://i571.photobucket.com/albums/s...DSCF3596-1.jpg |
Re: '67 5.3L Build Thread
I'm not sure where it goes yet, but they are talking about a oil press adapter for the back of the block here.

Re: '67 5.3L Build Thread
Thanks USMCCHEVY, that was verry helpful, now i just have to locate a tee with the m16x1.5 threads on it so i can get psi readings for the computer as well as the dakota digital dash i plan on runing. or drill and tap the aluminum block on the oil cooler lines
67c10bub and mrhino, thanks for your input! preciate it fellas! :chevy: |

Check out the the tire/wheel combo!!! They are Showwheels polished Streeters 20x8.5 front and 20x10 back. The tires are 245/35-20 front and 275/35-20 back. I love the way it turned out and these wheels are a killer deal.
