Question... can you post a picture of your oil dip stick install? you used a ED5008 (Lokar) stick right?

Thanks man

These are the part numbers for the Lokar LSX dip sticks.
ED-5020 LS Series Car Motor 1997 and up with Doug Thorley TRY Y headers
ED-5021 LS Series Truck Motor 1999 and up with Doug Thorley TRY Y headers

I used the truck one since mine is a 5.3L. I'll try and get a pic soon.

Great build! allot of useful information you got here. I have a question, maybe you or some one following the build can help me out.

Is it possible to remove either one of these plugs (pointed out by the red arrows) for an oil pressure sending unit? the 6.0L im working with has an external oil cooler that i would like to keep, thats why the pictured setup would not work for me. unless i tap in to one of the lines but im thinking that if i tap the return line i might not get the most accurate PSI reading.

Im not completely sure, but I think those are coolant plugs There is a oil pressure port on top of the block, behind the intake.

I'm not sure where it goes yet, but they are talking about a oil press adapter for the back of the block here.

Here are the pics you requested. It has an O-ring seal at the block that just slips into place.

Check out the the tire/wheel combo!!! They are Showwheels polished Streeters 20x8.5 front and 20x10 back. The tires are 245/35-20 front and 275/35-20 back. I love the way it turned out and these wheels are a killer deal.

Yup, when I get the paint redone I am hoping to have those filled in. It will give it the true '67 look.
