I should be in the shop, I have to fix my daughters honda. Thing started leaking some oil and I have to do a full tuneup on it. But other than that I should be working on this. Just give me a call.

Ok, it's been a crazy month for me. I would like to apologize to Dino for not putting this pictures up earlier. He sent me a shirt/hat/stickers, thank you so much! All of these are really nice and I will wear them all the time.
I'm not big on putting stickers on cars/trucks but yours will definitely look nice on my truck. Sorry for the crappy picture, I put these new shop lights in and my camara doesn't work well with them. I have been working a little on my truck but I've spent a lot of time putting up lights and a new heater in my shop. Hopefully I can get some time to spend out there and make some progress.
Thanks again Dino, if you have an Instagram account let me know what it is.

I lived In Riverside for almost 10 years. Graduated from Arlington HS. My ex lived in Corona and when we got married we lived there for a short time before I went into the military. My two girls still live there and I plan I going down this summer to visit them, hopefully I will have this on the road by then. Glad you like it.

Re: My own build thread

Well I got some time this weekend after my girls left to get some things done. Dropped the motor in and started rebuilding the vent windows. The vent windows are not fun btw... Mine were rusted threw in some spots so I had to patch them, I got one side apart and painted "I left the other one together so I could make sure I put them together correctly".

Re: My own build thread

Thanks! Ya I'm pumped to get this finished, spent all night last night assembling one of the vent windows. That was until I realized the channel the glass sits in was spread out too far so I tried bending it back and cracked the paint... So I spent more time repainting and let it dry over night. Hopefully everything goes smoothly and I can get it all back together tonight so I can start on the other side. I was worrie that if I took them both apart I wouldn't remember how they go together.
The one I'm rebuilding looks really good, these rivets suck! I worked airframe for over 10 years and these suck... Haha! Good times

My damn heater broke yesterday... Not too happy about it, I've spent 2 days trying to find parts to fix this one. I'm probably going to have to buy a new one because I can't find replacement parts. If it's not one thing its another...

Re: My own build thread

Thanks! Sorry I haven't posted much lately, I rebuilt one vent window and installed it. Let's just say I won't be buying anything from LMC again... There new seal that goes around the vent window looked ok until I installed it but there's at least a 1/2 inch gab between the bottom of the vent window and the door. I thought maybe I had done something wrong until I compared the new seal with the old one.... I'm so sick of buying poor quality stuff. I wish I would have researched that more. I don't think any of the seals I bought from them have fit at all...
So last night I spent almost 200 bucks on new seal from Steele rubber, god I hope these fit better... Here's a pic of the vent window I rebuilt that I'm going to have to redo... Haha! Old cars are so fun! Hehe!

Vent Windows are FUN!

Did Mine using Alan's Write-up… Interesting to say the least...:mm:

Re: My own build thread

They did suck but it's even worse when you get them all together and they fit horrible... I will take a picture of how bad they fit tonight. If the new seals I get from Steele rubber fit like these I don't know what I'm going to do. Water will pour into my door the way these fit.

I try not to buy from LMC. Classicparts has always treated me right.

Re: My own build thread

Thanks Newfisher! I can't wait to fire it up! I forgot to take pics of the vent window but I did get the rear window installed and put the window cranks in. I started putting all the door seals in. The new window seals fit good but gluing them in take a lot of patients and time. I'm hoping to make a lot of progress this weekend. I want to get this sucker done!

Re: My own build thread

I finally made some progress. I put the door seals in, decided that the aftermarket door catches sucked and got some jeep Cherokee catches instead. I also put the rear window in and mounted the sails. I also put all the window cranks and the latch mechanism in. I also blasted, painted, and rebuilt the head light housings but I have to wait until I get 2 more headlight buckets to install them in the grill. Hopefully I can stay on it like this and I should have it driving soon hopefully.
I'm ordering my driveshaft tomorrow too! Here's some pics

This shows how crappy the new door catches are made. The jeep catches work great and bolt right in the stock location. I got that idea from another thread on here.
