Those will be great on a white truck. Tommy is the best at finding/getting wheels!

Porterbuilt parts are on their way (thanks Nate and Dave!!), should be here Thursday evening. A new set of shoes are also headed our way from TNT-Motorsports (thanks Tommy!). I saw these on a truck on ebay and thought they would go contrast well with the white paint. We went with a 20x8.5 5.25bs for the front and a 20x9.5 5.5bs for the rear. We'll use Toyo ST II tires in 255/40-20 front and 295/40-20 rear. I ordered 1" narrowed control arms and I have a early (short) 12 bolt housing standing by if needed to tuck the rear to match. I'm stoked to say the least, just need to find the patience to stay the course. ;) Here is a pick of the inspiration and the wheel itself...

Buck,... the 20x9.5 (5.5" bs) will work great with the wider rearend.
That's what I have on my blazer.

Thanks, I think so too. We are really happy he was successful, I think he found the last 2 20x8.5s in existence!

Thanks Keith! Are your a-arms narrowed? Just wondering about track width front to rear. (I love your Blazer... I hope to get up your way one day so I can drool near it. Wouldn't want to disrespect it by drooling on it!)

Well, it looks like I will be taking crawdadfox's advice, with heavy influence from Nate at Porterbuilt, and building my spare swb frame and then swapping the sheet metal over. (I'll stash the original frame rails in my shed for ever just so I have them, damn you OCD!)

No.
But I have 20x8 wheels with the same 5.25" bs.
So they are tucked 1/2" more than your wheels with stock a-arms.
I think you will be fine with your narrowed a-arms.
(plus these are cambered in a little since it's air'd out)

Big Brown made a stop by the house today with some product from PBFab. The funny thing is that we live in a small town, my wife went to school with our UPS guy Carlos. Over the last week we have been telling him he might want take tonight off, but said no way because he wanted to see what comes in! This morning when they were loading trucks one of the other drivers was complaining about having a lot on his truck. Another guy we know who loads the trucks yells over to the guy, "What are you b***hing about, Carlos has almost another whole truck in his truck!!"

Last I heard from Tommy they were supposed to ship out Wednesday. UPS shows 3 days from OK to FL, so I figure Monday at the soonest.

Very cool build. I hope there's still a few of these trucks around that aren't too expensive when my boys get old enough. You guys are going to get me killed with all the nice porterbuilt stuff. I'd love to do a pb coilover setup but my wife is already on me about the truck this year. There's always next year I guess

It says wheels tomorrow .... !! And I think you might have got the last pair of 20X8.5's, I have another customer who bought some and one of them is misboxed .... and I cant find another wheel to complete the set..

I cant wait to see this thing put together ..... gonna be neat.

Looking great buck. This thing is going to be killer. I wish I'd known about the pb coilover set up back when I was doing suspension on mine. I guess I could always tear it back down and start over!
