Thanks for covering up my car bud.

Re: MY build thread...
Got the grill hung and glove box door installed and decided to modify the center console so it goes up to the dash and down to the floor. I havent decided what I want to do with the center. Carpet or aluminum sheeting on sides and carpet top or just mold and paint it....IDEAS?
|
Re: MY build thread...
i say vinyl or leather in the sides to match seats and sheet metal the center paint to match the dash

Re: MY build thread...
I think that's the way I'm going to go. Wrap the entire thing then do accent panels on the top.
On a build note I ordered the rear brake hose I needed to finish my brakes to get it mobile today so hopefully when it's time to move it I won't have to push the tank!!! If it runs when I do move it you guys will see a video of it! Posted via Mobile Device |
Re: MY build thread...

This could be the last post for a while guys. With everything in todays world going up except for my wages things are getting kinda tight so I have to stop spending on the truck and get some stuff paid down. Hopefully something changes pretty quick....Ill still be on just no updates unless someone wants to fund my project...:banghead:

Re: MY build thread...
Well since I have no money to spend I figures it was time I started on the bed so I welded on the last patch piece then just some final few things to weld on then epoxy primer! So hopefully I will have some pics this weekend.

Re: MY build thread...
Haven't been on my computer lately to load pics but the bed is in epoxy and started the mud work tonight. Had a buisy weekend out at the spring nationals helping my uncle win his first national event in supercomp and get a cool trophy. I'll try to get pics up this week then it's mud and sand, repeat!!!

Re: MY build thread...

Re: MY build thread...
Man I hate sanding body filler. I'm not that good at it so it takes me a few tries to get it good for primer but when it's 90 degrees and everything you sand sticks too you I'm almost ready to drop it of at a shop and pay to have it done!!!!

Re: MY build thread...
It's not the best job to do too a truck. Blocking does suck. I do it because others don't have to. ;) Don't give up. It's a lot of work. Keep digging.

Re: MY build thread...
Thanks Alan I should've just replaced the quarter panel on the drivers side also but live and learn I guess. Just more elbow grease required...
Posted via Mobile Device |
Re: MY build thread...
It fun turning mud into dust, huh. Alan makes it look so easy. I've been working on my bed sides for a year. Off and on. More off than on, because anything that I can do besides body work I do instead.;) Just like anything else though the more you do it the easier it gets.;) You'll get it.;) and your arms will get ripped.
