Nice job guys, my wife wont even drive mine, she drives the 2007 dodge 3500 4x4 diesel stick shift she cant stand automatic, the only auto she likes is a Glock 19. haha

I guess I'll miss the plaza night. (posting from Dhaka Bangldesh airport, waiting for a flight to Chittagong). I'll be back on the 10th, just in time for the Santa Fe Corvette run to Hyde park. Nice to meet you 65panelrat, heres a shot of the chevy that day.

UPDATE:

The truck is at the painter's!! We took it to him this past Saturday. He started work on it right away. I believe a color has been selected, but I won't announce that yet... Plans may still change, you never know. :) I won't say until the paint is purchased.

Travel this year has been brutal (except for the time in Spain:metal:). We should try to get something going. I'll let you know if I hear of any thing.

I'm so excited!!!! I was there when we dropped off the truck a few weeks ago but I haven't been there for all the painstaking labor. I am not even sure of the final color yet but the grin on my face keeps getting bigger and bigger with every new pic. I think I am gonna die from the growing anticipation!!!! i never thought the day would get here! Thank you Babe for all your hard work and all the attention to detail!!!!! I am such a lucky gal!!!!

It was a really busy weekend.... Abe worked his butt off!! Did some bodywork on Friday and Saturday, she was in primer on Saturday evening. Then on Sunday we did some blocking, fine tuning, cleaning, masking and then the fun finally started. :metal:

This is at about 8pm on Sunday night. The paper is off...

Abraham used Dupont Nason base/clear. The color is 2007 Chevy HHR "Golden Teal Metallic". The color is very irridescent, very "pearly". We can't wait to see it in the sun... Thanks a million Mr. President for all your hard work. We are more than pleased... and HAPPY!!!!

She has a new Mar-K wood bed kit for it already with stainless strips and hardware. I need to find another set of wheel tubs. The plan is to re-paint the inside of the bed when it's all apart....
