Took my springs off so I'm ready when my jeep ones come. Finished the metal work on my doors. Still need to figure out how to spray the inside with rust stop. I might have to buy the liquid in kind. I can't spray it enough to coat the bottom. I need more garage.:metal:

Looks good Dave. Some guy I know that owns a body shop said he sprays the inside rust with Diesel fuel. He says it works great. And he's been a body guy for 35 years. work. It's worth a try.

I'm sure it cheaper then that rust stop stuff. I wonder about the smell? I took the cover off my diff to change the oil. The vent on top was kind funny insted of a long hose it had alittle 1" vent thng? Think thats factory?

I don't know about using diesel on the inside to stop rust. It would be forever seeping out of every little crack and opening. Plus if you did it before paint you might have a heck of a time keeping it off of your to be painted surface. Could be almost as bad as WD40 with painting.

Yes that diff vent is original.

I don't think he soaked it. Just a fine mist. I'll ask him about what you said.

If you think you might drive in deep water I would put the kind of vent that has a hose.

I was thinking it should have a hose? Hell this truck or my other truck will never see rain again let alone creek water. Now my f#ord it will be outside untill it's body parts fall off. That should be next year sometime. It has a hose on its diff. because it's a 4x4 and I dog the $hit out of it. Gotta love the big blocks.:uhmk:

Put my jeep springs on. Put on a new rear brake line. What a pain. Nobody carried the right brake line. I ended up putting an adapter on the end where it hooks into the line coming down the frame. When for alittle spin around the block rides nice.;) Thinking I should paint the back part of my frame while I have the bed off.
