Not to knock the great deal on a nice fleetside, but I think it just makes it seem too long with the extended cab and the fleetside so high in the air.:o The stepside might just break it up a bit. Not sure if I missed the pic, but did you have a pic with a stepside bed on there or has anyone photo chopped one on for you?

Nothing has happened to the truck...literally nothing! :waah: It has taken a back seat to my 58 build for a few months...we've been working to get that on the road by the end of summer. My boy and I hope to get back on his around that time.

Hey guys, we haven't touched her in way too long. Dads '58 has taken up most all of our time, then school and work have all taken time from playing with it. I managed to do some swapping and picked up a little jeep that I'm fixing up to cruise around in and I have been trying to get my 4wheeler put back together over the winter. So I've been keeping busy with those, but once the '58 gets put together for hood I'll be back on this one!

For Christmas I did get a few trick little pieces though!! Billet good hinges and a nice fat steering wheel. Then last year I got a roll pan for the rear.

Thanks DW! The jeep will be a little blast to run around in! Its only got a 2.5 4 banger, and stock drivetrain, but I don't have much $$ in it so it'll be a worry free little dirt road cruiser on Friday nights!

Well I really need to get back on this thing... I managed to finish the jeep and flip it to earn a few bucks to throw in the truck fund. Dads truck is moving along at a pretty steady pace so if all goes well we should be getting back on this big girl in a few months!!

How does truck drive with the anti wrap bar setup? Killer setup by the way? Any trouble with the compression style setup vs tension style?

Yea, it’s been too damn long! We moved houses and tried to work on it but got sidetracked. We picked up a few other projects and stole a few parts from this truck. Mainly the motor. We were worried it had been sitting too long so we decided to get the motor out and shove it in another project (83 k5) and we found out that it needed to be rebuilt. I bought a little ‘66 GTO and a ‘38 Chevy coupe gasser that have been pulling me away and my dad got hot and heavy into his ‘58 apache. Most recently however, we tore our suburban apart and have been going balls to the wall on a frame off rebuild (throwing a blown 540 in it and building the chassis to handle 1000hp) :sumo:

Nice.. hopefully you went genuine pontiac with the gto and didn't shove a "chevy motor" in it..
Looking forward to work on the truck
