Not yet Mike:waah:

I just checked the tracking number on my radiator and it will be here tomorrow:metal: after a lot of research I decided to go with a Griffin from Summit Racing. It will have both the inlet/outlet on the passenger side to match the LS ports. It is also equipped with two 16" fans and is a direct fit. I will post some pics after I receive it.

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/gri-cu-00013-ls

I should also get my my engine harness and ECM back next week from S&S Performance out of Arkansas. WWW.LSX-HARNESS.COM
They are adding the fuses and relays for my fans and fuel pump, and turning it into a stand alone harness.

I did get my battery tray built and mounted on the frame with 1/4" aluminum and my rusty TIG skills lol. If everything goes right I should have it running in next few weeks.

I had to order 4 core mounts to be able to install the radiator (my first LMC order). The radiator looks very well built and I can't wait to get into the truck.

I ran the engine harness through the firewall today. It was a little nerve racking hole sawing through the firewall. I still need to install a grommet. Getting closer to finally hearing it run. I can't wait.

Harness looks good Mark and so does that radiator/fan assembly. It fits in the stock 4 core mounts?

Thanks Keith. I hope so. I called Griffin's tech support to make sure before I ordered the mounts. I should receive them by Friday. The radiator measures exactly 3" in width top/bottom. If your running the same mounts (4 core) can you verify the width for me?

Nice looking radiator Mark, love the clean engine bay. I'm ready to see a video of this puppy running.

Mark I am running the 4 core mounts, my frame is currently in my tent in the back yard for storage. I'll get you a measurement tomorrow after the monsoon stops here in Jersey

Not a big deal if you can't get to it. Tracking number shows I should get them Friday. Thanks Keith

Thanks Mark. I hear you about the four years it's amazing how long it takes to go through one of these old trucks. Your truck is gonna be so nice, all that time and effort will pay off in the end.

Mark I just went out and measured my 4 core mounts. The rubber inserts measure right at 3" from bend to bend on the inside where they bend around the top of the radiator. Should work out perfect for you. Does that radiator have Trans cooler lines in it?

Great news. One less headache lol. No trans cooler since I am running the manual transmission. The nice thing with the radiator is the inlet/outlet are both on the passenger side so they match the ports on the LS. There is also a steam port fitting in the radiator for the LS. Thanks for taking the time to grab me the measurements Keith!

Today I finished installing the engine harness. So far I am really satisfied with the workmanship from S&S Performance. They labeled every plug and sent a legend for each connection along with a trouble shooting guide.

Re: Started my first frame off - 72 SWB LS1, 6-spd manual

I have the same radiator on my truck with 4 core mounts. It sat a little high so the upper mounts didn't want to sit on top of the core support without some persuasion. You could probably trim the rubber portion of the mounts down a little or run some small spacers between the upper mounts and the core support. I'd like to get the upper mount that Keith is running one of these days but I'm not sure how well it would fit with this radiator

Thanks for the link in the LS section.. Nice to see there are a few guys using the radiator and seem to be happy with it. The mounts showed up today and they seem to fit nice and snug. I will use your advice when I install it. Ya, I really like Keith's upper mount too, it's clean.

I forgot what accessories you're using with your engine and how the water pump is positioned but i used a 07 tbss upper radiator hose with mine that has the truck accessories. Glad I could help with the link. Can't wait to see your truck finished

Edit: Just looked and your water pump snout is definately different from mine

Thanks Mike... Ya, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel lol. I'm waiting for the fuel filter/fuel pump and fittings to show up so I can Finish the fuel system. This weekend I plan on having all of the start system, charging system fans and fuel pumps wired up and I should be able to start it.:metal:

Today I stopped by a local off-road shop to pick up fittings and wire loom and found a master cylinder for my clutch. It's made by Jamar and has a 3/4" bore with a nice size reservoir. I also liked the fact it's machined black and isn't all blingy lol. They also offer a rebuild kit for it.
