Kinda hard for me to agree with that(no offence), Would rather have my truck nicely restored before I even take my girl for a date in it.....And I don't even have a girl!

I was. I think that truck is beyond awesome. I had a Chevy van I was 16 and that caused issues with my girlfriend's parents. I can only imagine what a whole rolling sex palace would have done for them. :ack:

On a somewhat more serious note, I was looking at pics and videos of the OK Farm Truck that runs 10 second quarters with a box on the back. That made me think that it would be (obviously ridiculous but still) awesome to see your camper built as a sleeper drag truck. "Only when the truck is dragging do I stop shagging."

I'm a South Carolinian who has been stuck in MA for more years than I care to count.

Here are my twins.

First up is the '65 black and red stepside, 350/350 ps pb front disc, rear drum, locking Warn hubs and a sweet DeeZee truck box. A real heavy duty monster. It's mostly '72 K-series blazer for the 4X4 components underneath. Love this thing to death, but it may have to go soon. This truck has only ever let me down with the starter in the 5+ years I've had her. Done tons of maintenance, and she's as happy as I am about it.

The new gray and black '65 fleetside is a 350 with a TH400 trans, ps, pb, front disc, rear drum, but it's a little more polished (way more chrome), and geared more for the highway. This just got shipped in from Arakansas - supposedly a father son project that lost it's funding, so I picked it up, and am adding the necessary bits. A bit easier to get everyone in to go get ice cream with this one. Still chasing out a few bugs from the seemingly hasty assembly process. Looks to be a fun ride, though.

Cheers

Replaced the chains on the tailgate with buttons to clean up the look.
Also removed all the badging and side view mirrors, also lowered the truck 6 inches for that sleeker stance.

Under the hood is a 283 V8, taken from a 65 Impala and modified a little.

Also moved the gas tank to the bed, these older Chevy trucks tend to smell of gas in the cab, if you don't move the tank.

Brand new to the board...lots of gorgeous trucks!

Had a 67 C10 as my first car, learned to drive with the "three on the tree". Been away from trucks for awhile, but now I have 4 teenage kids who are all going to be driving soon so it was time to get something to work on as a family!

So...here she is...new to us...my '63 C20...only had her a couple of weeks:

Thanks...working on getting her more road worthy first...already replaced the tires, air filter, ignition switch, and headlights. I'm going to tune her up, she has a small block 350 now, and someone installed an automatic transmission (bummer!). Looks like one of the previous owners started a restoration and either got bored or ran out of money. Lots of the wiring has been torn up so I'm trying to decide if I want to troubleshoot what is there or just replace with a new harness. Needs some body work all the way around, but the frame is straight and it runs good! Initial plans are replace the steering wheel (with an original 63 one I found locally), parking brake handle, seat belts, get the headlights working, then try to sort out the gauges. I want her to be pretty enough to show off, but not so pretty I'm afraid to haul a load of dirt! We call her Orange Crush!
