Perfect choice, red seat will be super cool. What are you doing with the rest of the interior color-wise (paint, carpet, door panels, visors, etc...) You should red-stripe the trim!

Re: 67c10 build

I want body trim sooo bad. The two tone is sweet on these trucks.

Interior will be body color with the red seat, carpet and door panels. I may do black dash pad but not sure yet. I'm having Larry send me 2 extra yards of vinyl for misc work I may do. The trim had crossed my mind but we'll see

You're doing the fender emblems like the rendering? Hood letters too? I like!

67ctener 02-13-2015 02:06 AM

Re: 67c10 build

Yup, it'll have all the moulding offered in 67. I guess part of 68 also cause the front fender trim and hood piece were never offered in 67. It's really the only way to do a two tone though I think. I'll also be running stainless window trim

Unfortunately this is an update on no update. The painter still has not touched my truck and patience is turning into frustration. I'm not sure how you tell a customer january and here it is mid May... My target was to have it in the road for a big local Memorial Day show which is a week from today. Maybe someone could call overhaulin for me?? Well enough with that. The last few months I've been doing some work on a friends 68. Here she is done

I put porterbuilt tubular arms, cpp rear arms, inner outer tie rods, accuair switchspeed, girdled diff cover, axle seals, track bar and all new shocks.

Extremely dissapointed with my first experience with porterbuilt. Build time was weeks longer then I was originally told. They sent me three lower ball joints and 1 upper. Took a week to get a response from them saying they have no sway bars and it will be a few weeks. I had higher expectations after reading all the positives.

Oh well truck is done and it rides great, there products are far superior then comparable products so anyone considering my only advice is to be patient.

The switchspeed kit is awesome, works great for a first time installer it was very easy with no problems, I highly recommend there power supply kit with relay. Makes for a very clean and simple install. Tucks nice with there arms with no lower cups.

I was sold a cpp bar by a local shop saying it would work with the arms, well it doesn't, pb mounts are 4"s wider then the cpp bar

Nice work.. by chance do you know the specs on the wheels & tires.. Thanks for your time

67ctener 05-18-2015 10:11 PM

Re: 67c10 build

Bs I don't know but the tires are 255/35r20 and 275/35r20 out back. Some people say the tires are to small but I think they look perfect with the stance of the truck

So after about a year and 8 months the painter finally did something. By now I was hoping the truck would be done. After struggling on choosing a color I went with what I really wanted. It's not an old color but I plan to keep all the small 67 touches true to the truck.

The length of the project has surely killed my motivation. Hopefully he continues to work on it but it is safe to say I am in paint jail. The color it's a gm and the name is just gray. It's pretty much the same as cyber gray but doesn't have the blue in it when I held the sun gun to it. Figure it's more of a charcoal gray and will go well with the red interior. As far as the white it's just a gm white, nothing fancy. Can't remember if I ever posted my seats so here they are. Covers from truck world

Thanks sir. As far as the c10 I've just been collecting parts here and there. I pretty much have everything to get it assembled once it's done. I expect it to be on the rode pretty quick once I get it back. I've been occupying my time working on my dmax, did a dana 60 up front and get rid of the ifs. I also pick up a new rmz450 so I've been out riding as much as possible. Here's the dmax, pretty stoked how it turned out

Re: 67c10 build

The D-Max is gnarly!! Boy and I are rocking 125 and 250 two-stroke RM's and have been riding a bunch. We just finished a fresh '07 RM250 for my brother-in-law and a CRF50 for his pooch. Still nudging along on my build. Just got my heads back and am working on Wifey for pistons and rods. Keep us updated on the C10 man!!

Any updates on the paint yet? Can only imagine your frustration w/ the painter taking so long.

Also, does your buddy have a link to a build thread for his truck?

I wish I did. The bed was painted late March and that's the last I've heard from him. The silver 68 he bought that way I just did the switch speed, pb control arms and rear trailing arms for him

After a few months the bed has been re cleared, wet sanded and buffed and it turned out awesome. The color combo didn't do it justice till that factory trim was put on. All in all I'm extremely happy with how it turned out. The new target for completion is fall so hopefully he can stick with it. Thanks everyone following along on the long journey

Sorry to read about another case of Paint jail. On the bright side, the bed looks great! :metal:
I love these trucks with stock trim, it really pops.
Hope you get the rest of it done soon:chevy:
