I remember about 30 yrs ago
My father in law was in bend and his 16 ft trailer lost the axle out in that area. He decided to tear it apart and haul it off instead of towing. He got arrested for because they thought it was making a mess on the land. Times have changed.

I have a bunch of the old catalogs in my file cabinet that I'm hanging on to. Part of my 67-72 GM Truck literature collection. Someone else will cleaning my file cabinet some day

It is true. My wife had a little side business doing clean-outs for a realtor friend of ours. It really changed our perspective on saving stuff. We threw out people's hobbies, careers, collectables, etc. In 10 minutes we would figure out and try to guess what they did or were into. It was actually quite depressing. Especially now as I watch my Dad prepare for his departure.

I can usually tell when someone around here has died or is moving. There will be one (or more) 30-yard dumpster(s) at the curb in front of their house. I keep telling my wife we shouldn't leave this for our sons, but she still has sweaters from when she was a teen. It's gonna be a real mess. Neighbor to my west fell and is in a nursing home- and ain't coming out. He has a friend come and get his mail and check on the house. Neighbor across the street and one east had a stroke. If his garage door hadn't been open, nobody would have seen him and he would have died right there. There are people I don't know in his house now, from Florida. Could be squatters, for all we know.

Me too. That's exactly why I have saved the catalogs and magazines I have. It's why I bought the file cabinet.

I gather things that please me because that's how I like to live. I'm not living to die or living to make my death more convenient for others. There also won't be a dumpster. My things will be sold in an estate sale

No, I wish. Not my bike, either. this is my first time back here and I see I should've added text, not just the picture. I took that picture at the Chesapeake Chapter of AMCA meet in October. I have owned one Knucklehead in my life. Last year, '47.

When I was a teen my buddy bought a knucklehead partial chopper. He sort of finished it and we rode the wheels off that thing. I sat on the hard rear fender with a skinny little sissy bar to hold on to. It had shorty pipes that forever vibrated loose. It was loud and great! :lol:

Wife and kids suplemented the shop. I have never used a battery ratchet before. I have alway been OK with manual stuff. Extra batteries that will wok in all my tools. Glad hey paid attention to what dad owns.

Took the Bomber for one last spin today before the snow hits and the salt gets laid down.
It's almost unheard of in Connecticut for it to be this late in the season with no snow yet, so luckily I was able to enjoy driving it for this long till spring.

I pretty much stopped collecting but I need that!! '61 is my favorite fullsize GM year and I kinda like the 67-72 GM trucks. The only thing better would be a GMC hauling a Ventura

I guess they don't drizzle metal-eater the day before. They did the roads Friday morning so we could expose our vehicles an extra day even if it never snows. I hate it! Makes salt seem not so bad. We didn't even get an inch but snow still accumulated to make the roads slushy from rain and slicker than snot. So what good is it? I went into town just before dark, after hours of rain. Had to be very cautious to not lose it. No better than driving on straight-up snow

Funny story. We used to live northish and centerish in the San Fernando Valley. We moved 12 miles west, and that first winter it snowed, for the first time in decades. My boys were so pleased that we had moved where it snowed. Sorry, guys!

Then try to drive Over the speed limit.

Still ride the B U T T of the vehicle in front of them.

I just sit back and watch the show.

I happened on this today. Single car accident in a busy urban intersection. I have no idea what happened. The blue and white box van in the lane in front of me was the SWAT team van but they didn't stop. It appeared that they had also randomly driven
past the accident also. No one appeared to be hurt or actually excited. Quite strange actually.
