Notice the paper plate in the back window. The kid in the plaid shirt is over 50 years old now.

I bought this truck on July 20 1971 and have owned it ever since. Its had two heart transplants but running the original transfer case and transmission. At present it has 535,000.0 miles on it, its good for another 500,000. Told the wife when I die, put me in the cab, Reba on the tape deck and lower us into the hole.

These were taken off of slides I have, and for some reason I always get them backward, sorry about that. That old truck has served me well, its a member of the family. Old Yella is showing its age, with the paint wearing thin and a few battle scars, but it has never let me down.......

First day with the 69 c30 dumptruck. Didn't even have the sides and doors on it yet, trying to get it off the trailer.

either right or left hand drive that is a cool story and over 500 thousand miles that is a cool and tough truck. still looking good.

Nice trucks everyone, how could you not love those years chevys. I ordered it loaded but plain, didn't want any side trim or two tone paint.

grousehunter 61, I love those old pics. I especially like the "cook box" that appears to slide out of the bed, with the stove on top. Great idea and I may copy that idea for my truck. Thanks!!!

My New (old) C30......pulled her out of a garage for the first time in probably 10 years. Put some fresh gas in and she started right up. 70,000 original miles.

I'll be needing the forums help in getting it back in to shape.

Dads Longhorn, here are a couple more photos of the camper.

I made the camper my self, its a little higher then the truck cab and tall enough that I can sit up in it. It also has 2 inches of insulation so its warm in winter and cool in summer. As my name states I am a bird hunter and travel all over in the truck, If I spend more then one day I just crawl in back with the dogs and we are home.

Here is a photo of old yella on a sage grouse hunt.
