As far as the wine it takes me a long time to consume that. I still have some from 2008, all the way to this year. As far as the baked goodies, they don't last long around me. I need to bake some cookies in the next couple of days, I just need to decide which kind. I switch off every time I bake them .... :) |

I was out of cookies so I had to make some frosted chocolate waffle cookies this morning. This was my moms recipe. Not sure where she got it but it might have been my Grandmothers. I remember my Grandmother had a waffle iron that she had to put on the stove burner to heat it up. (non electric) She made some great waffles on that thing though... :metal: LockDoc |

They legalized cruising again in Modesto home of American Graffiti, so a bunch of old Faros are going out for a burger and a short cruise like the old days. Perfect weather for it today, rolled "Cheryl Ann" out and washed all the Almond dust off of her.

nothing very glamorous, spend yesterday and the day before, digging a trench about 30 feet long to run some drainage pipe and a pop-up emitter to get the rain gutter water away from the house.since i'm smart like a tree stump,i started digging with a shovel???cause i wasn't going that far,i told myself.after a few feet,i made an executive decision and said, the heck with that, regardless of how far i plan to go or not go,that's a job for the tractor!much better plan.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...
Kioti is a good tractor. Bobcat paints them white and calls them Bobcats.

I've been looking at tracked skid steers. I'd love to get one of those, but most likely never will.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...
I like the Bobcat Toolcats. They come in dump bed or 3 point. I have only seen one in person. Too bad you cant get both together.
https://www.bobcat.com/na/en/equipment/toolcat https://www.google.com/search?sca_es...ih=482&dpr=1.8 Holder AG and municipal are also very cool. German made, center articulating, 4X4. The AG tractors are used on the other side of the mountain on orchards and berry farms. Someday. https://www.tractordata.com/farm-tra...older-ag3.html https://www.google.com/search?q=hold...ih=482&biw=933 |

well i guess i'm cheating, this wasn't today but Sunday.i've too busy to make this post til now.i saw an estate auction was going on,on Sunday.lots of tools, old metal signs, furniture.all the regular stuff.it's a shame,a man works his whole life and collects all this stuff and there it all is.in some cases, stuff selling for peanuts, some things going to the moon.there were several antique dealers there, paying crazy money and buying or bidding on just about everything.i'll never get many old signs for my garage at this rate,i'm too cheap to spend the money.there were old metal signs selling for more money that beautiful antique furniture?makes no sense to me but i guess it's what the market will hold.i did manage to drag a few treasures home.there will be another sale in 2 weeks, try again?

We were given a cool old boiler. 11 foot long by 54 inches round. A great friend with a dump trailer and a Kubota made the move easy! We could not wait to get it stood up, so we had it's first fire at it's new home. ;) It will not draw properly laying on it's side, but the fire was fun! Eventually it will be replacing it's little brother in the background.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...
Slapped some new rims and tires on the ole Baja. It only took me a year to do it.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/gallery/...aja_Wheels.jpg And I bought my first squarebody. It's been parked for 5 years. I've still got to go get it. I didn't have the time today. It's a one owner truck. (well not anymore ;) ). http://67-72chevytrucks.com/gallery/...3_Dually_1.jpg |
Re: What did you do today not on your truck...
Hey fella. Where've ya been? Nice wheels on the bug. Looks era correct.
Good looking crew too. I bet the bed is still nice inside since it appears to have worn a camper shell for some time. Big block and auto? Is that a replacement for the ford dually? |
Re: What did you do today not on your truck...
Took pictures of mine that's about it...

I like those rims on the Bug too. I wanted wider but that size is the widest of that rim, so I went with that. I'm happy. The truck is a long story. It was my elderly neighbors. He is now in a nursing home and things are being sold off. I caught wind of this and jumped on it. Bad news. It's sold. :( Good news, it sold to a friend of mine. :) Time to go talk to him. Long story short. He wanted my 66 F100 more than the dually and vice versa . So trade. Easy enough. ;) It had a camper at one time but now has the hitch in the bed for a 5th wheel. It has a 454 and automatic, power everything except the windows which is just fine with me. Very straight truck, 124K, no dents or rust. Problem is the sun up here has been cooking on it since 83 so the original paint is about finished as well as the dash pad. Unbelievably, the seats are still in great shape. It's not a replacement for the F350. It's better. I've lusted after this truck since I moved here. I can't hardly believe that I actually got it. Time to polish the old girl up to her former glory. Something to look forward to. |

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...
Oh man, I hate to hear of your bout with the C. I hope treatment goes great for you. Cancer and heart problems are prevalent in my family and I've already had one heart attack. You are right about realizing how much less time we have in this world and want to do more. I have given up taking on large projects now and just pick things smaller that I can get done more easily. I cannot hold out to do much anymore.
I like the crew. I had a tan 85 Blazer for 10 years. It was a great color for summer sun and working in a dirt environment. It hides dust and dirt very well. |

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...
Good to see you back posting, Paul. I was wondering. Laryngeal cancer is pretty survivable. My youngest brother went through surgery, chemo and radiation 9 years ago. He's still kicking along, though pretty damaged. He quit working about 2 years ago.

Replaced the decking I’m going to extend the deck 12 feet next spring so I didn’t replace the post and rails . Used the Camo system so no visible decking screws little pricy but it looks so much nicer .

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...
Made an 80 mile round trip for a "tiger oak" solid wood dresser. I plan to use it in my carving area to set my small carving tool chest and stuff things in the drawers. That will give me room on the carving bench. It's still in the bed of the truck, and the sellers already deleted the posting, so no picture, yet. If anyone wants to see it, that is. Can't buy the materials for what I spent on it.
