Nothing too exciting. removed the steering column with the help of my youngest son Austin. Removed some shock brackets from the frame and started working on the floors in the cab of my 53suburban.

Sandblasted the bottom of the cab. And a few other areas inside of it. Almost done. Didn't do the steps because they will get replaced. Here is a before and after pic.

Worked on boxing my frame, welder went to crap so I went to tractor supply and bought me a Holbart 210. Tomorrow, I'll start back on my frame.

Put the garage to bed so I can park the Chevelle inside out of the rain and snow. Reviewed the final assembly list and marked winter projects that are not dependent on temperature (pink) and stuff I need to buy for finish in the spring (yellow). Most of you probably have a similar list, but I am posting for new guys to show how I stay organized and on track with all the other stuff going on in my life. I keep it taped to the side of my rollaway for easy viewing.

My list has changed a dozen times since I started. Now it's on a whiteboard. Sorry, that's racist. It's on a caucasion erasable display device.

That's an amazing looking list there OrrieG, but unfortunately I cant see what is at the top of your list. any chance you would be willing to post a better picture, or be able to send me the digital copy of your list. That would be greatly appreciated, It looks like it would help me greatly in getting my list under control.

My list is on an 8-page spreadsheet. Master project list, sub-sections, to do list, items needed, and money spent.

I feel the same. I have my truck in a tent. It's completely enclosed but no heat and the temp is brutal lately.Got to get some heat in there. I just sent my radiator to be recored and when I get it back I plan on driving the truck out of the tent.It entered on a wrecker.---Jack

First time out of the garage in about a month. It was the first sunny day in a week and a half so we took it for a Christmas tree run.

Thanks. Those are Corvette wheels with 235/75/R15 American Classic radials. The wheels were on the truck when I got it and I bought the tires from Coker Tire.

Does ordering some parts count? I got some of the female quick release fuel line fittings for the 5.3 swap along with 30' of a 3/8" aluminum fuel line so I can plumb the LS swap.

Haven't been outside though...

There may be snow on the roof top but the hearth fires burn hot. We're still kids in the middle or why would we be playing with these old trucks?
