I got rid of my TPI setup and went with a Holley Sniper. I like it.
Might be an option for you?

Looks like someone was a little rough on that heater hose nipple...

I was looking for the cool factor, but you're right , there maybe better systems out there!

Note the red arrow, cracked intake manifold. That's what happens when you use a tapered easy out, I was able to get a hacksaw blade in there to cut some of the threads and roll back the fitting with a punch. Hopefully I can have it tigged

Just one of my SNAFUs.

on to the shaft bushings for the quadra jet

I seen the crack before the arrow. Hopefully it is a simple weld and good to go.

Installing throttle shaft bushings, grind the staked screws or you WILL snap the heads off. mark blades for location and direction

very little wear on the shafts, can't feel it with your fingernail

baseplate was cooked in my ultra sonic bath, at low temp, with purple power, changed to aluminum to a slate grey

Be careful!, what appears to be a slotted screw is not, just a spring holder in the slot. The silver screw does come off for disasembly. In my application both shafts had to come out for the bushing kit to be used

these shafts are very delicate, so don't force things when you disassemble

Still Waaaaay more patience than I have bud. I have none when it comes to carb rebuild or all that wiring you were doing for the other style. I am gritting my teeth not really wanting to do a harness upgrade on my panel even though I know it should be done.

patience, is not my problem, 35 years raising a special needs son helps with that! My problem is that I'm a control freak, my other son was going to take it to his shop, finish up and then take it to his buddies shop for the wiring. But, I would not have control of the process along the way. I know my son would do quality work, but after that???

Plus he's trying to paint his house this summer and I don't want to tie up his time...

So, the ball is back in my court and I will continue to muddle along, carb is kinda fun, have an extra carb for reassembly help

Bought the re-bush kit from cliff rugles, plus his forum helps with info......

Thanks for all your help over the years of this build

The kart does look like a blast.

You are going to have them wire up the FAST fuel injection?

second attempt, maintained with trickle charger for 5 years and battery still failed...trying Genius this time, maintenance charger

I wonder if I can replace bad cell on the old battery

we're still driving on a country road, so I'll have to wait until I can get it on a track to see how it really preforms

No way dude. Don't give up on it Jim. I've taken a ridiculous numbers of steps backwards on mine over 11 years. You've done so much. Don't farm it out now. Take a break, come back to it. Keep making progress.

AJ, thanks for posting up, but time is my constraint, I'm 67 going on 68 in August, and I'm afraid I won't get to drive it much as I get older. So, I've made the choice to get it worked on by someone who understands the system...

For me, it's like putting a string on a yo yo, when you don't know what a string or yo yo is or does, it just doesn't make sense to me, and trust me when I say I've tried, I've sourced, I've read, sourced, and read some more, gleamed thru countless wiring diagrams, to no avail. If someone had done this before, I would have been able to ask questions, but no one has

You've been a great source of info. over the years, and I consider you my friend, sorry to let you down, but it just has to be this way

Not a let down, my friend. I mean, you're no spring chicken here.

I totally get the aspect of wanting to drive it. Get it done and get in the driver's seat. Keep us posted.

Glad it arrived. No need, consider it a small contribution to the build.

TBH I probably would need help with the yoyo nowadays lol
