Re: Project Vitamin C-10
I have a dilemma. A buddy of mine (board member) wants to sell his 66 GMC burb. I always wanted a burb, but need a truck. I looked the burb over pretty good. It runs and drives. He takes it everywhere. It's unmolested. A little rot in floor. Inner rockers are still there. One cab support rotted. Inner fenders are pretty nice. A few rust spots on roof gutter. Barn doors, just front seats.
My dilemma is I need a truck not a burb, but I don't want to pass this one up. http://i803.photobucket.com/albums/y...A9FC9632EE.jpg |
Re: Project Vitamin C-10
Well it would make a nice addition to the family. If the price is right jump on it. Getting harder to find by the day. So what's the dilemma?

Re: Project Vitamin C-10
Although I am not a patina (rust) fan, I would give up my truck for it for sure.

using this method has netted me 2 burbs and 15+ trucks! simple as that! |
Re: Project Vitamin C-10
I can see you in the Burb!!! :metal:

Re: Project Vitamin C-10
If you really can only have one, then get the Burb ,sell the truck and we get another great build thread to read, but that's being selfish. All those that read your last thread would agree it was a great read and an Inspraytion .

Re: Project Vitamin C-10
Well, I sold the burb. It's in Missouri now. Not much truck time this year. I did a couple cruise ins. The house and some side work has kept me stretched thin.
Anybody live in Jacksonville? I'm headed there Monday November 9 for4 days. I'm going to Toyota certification school. |
Re: Project Vitamin C-10
I have wondered what you were up to ,very few of the Ga guys seem to be here anymore .

Re: Project Vitamin C-10
The temp gauge hasn't been accurate for awhile. Since the new season is here why not fix it. I found a NOS gauge on eBay.
http://i803.photobucket.com/albums/y...9DF2FF0DC9.jpg Glad I made the gauge pods plug and play. http://i803.photobucket.com/albums/y...348A9BB18D.jpg It's up to temp. Let's see how long the gauge last. http://i803.photobucket.com/albums/y...ACCA86F7CF.jpg |

Re: Project Vitamin C-10
I attended a show this past weekend. The "Rubber Duck" truck from the movie "Convoy" was there. I was able to park and snap a pic next to it.

I still think you should keep it. Would love to see it updated with DUB's and air bags. It will change the looks and be even more fun. And you'll keep the Trophy's coming. :metal::metal::metal::metal::metal:

Re: Project Vitamin C-10
Man Alan even though I hate to see you sell it I also understand about the shows! It's been a pleasure to watch the build and keep track of all the progress and grow as distant internet friends! Good luck on the sale and letting that part of your life, because this truck has been a big part of it for many years, and lots of luck in the future.. Mayne one day I'll be in your knock of the woods.

Well, no bites so I still have it. I didn't push too hard just listed a some FB pages.
Sorry for the picture links not working through out this build. I shouldn't have used an off sight host. Photobucket got greedy and wants money to use them. I thought the pics would be good as long as I didn't delete or move them. I didn't think they would hold the pics ransom. At the time I was posting my build it was too difficult and time consuming to let this page host the pics. Maybe it was just me, but i did try in the beginning to post the pics hosted here with text in between the pics for discription. |
Re: Project Vitamin C-10
There are some great build threads on this site, but this one has been one of my absolute favorite to read through. I actually started on page one again a few weeks ago just to go back through and see everything again. It is a shame about photobucket messing with the pictures...it makes it almost impossible to fully enjoy a build thread like this one. I’ve googled to see if there’s a fix for photobucket on an iPad, but came up with nothing. Just know, and I’m sure im not alone when I say this, thanks for posting your build. It was great to follow and very educational. You built a beautiful truck!

Re: Project Vitamin C-10
Those of you that have not seen this truck in person are really missing out on an outstanding vision ,it is even nicer in person .Just a very well done beautiful truck . If this was my truck and I was selling ,it would go to Barrett Jackson to get all the money .

Re: Project Vitamin C-10

I have used t for years and love it. You can call it Alan's Classics or what ever you want. and have a Gallery named Vitamin C-10. I have thousand's of photos on mine with many Gallery's. The cost is cheap, per year, and worth every penny. Check out mine. belair.smugmug.com and let me know what you think. If you get it use Dennis LaRossa as a reference, and I get 1 year free. You can do the same. Here's just one of the Gallerys https://belair.smugmug.com/Cars https://photos.smugmug.com/Cars/1965...1030214-X2.jpg |
