The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network - Tootsie build for my mother with cancer

Wow thank you. It's hard for me to slow down on all the details. The 72 I build took 4 months to build start to finish. This one is way slower and I know it can't be built over night. But I need to get it done and fast. I was not going to say a word but I feel I need to let you guys know my moms cancer is back. We just found out on Friday. It's not looking good so not sure what's going to happen. She can't have anymore radiation or chemo. So I think it will be more surgery. It's scary for us right now. We don't really know what is going to happen but we are going to hang in there and support her the best we can. Thanks again you guys for the support it means a lot

Do like you are doing and you guys just take care of her the best you can. I am in the same situation as you at this very moment. I am in a race to finish my truck before I lose my dad. As of last night they gave him 5-15 days so it looks like I wont make it so it will be a tribute build for him. Its very tough and make no mistake she is very proud of you I am sure. You guys just give her much love and make every day count man. Many prayers for your mother and family and yall keep your heads up and try tobe positive i know its tough. Thank you guys I appreciate it as always. jmorri34 I am sorry to hear about your father. There is nothing anyone can say that will make it better. I pray for you and you family. I plan to work on Tootsie tonight. I will shoot some pics of her for you guys.

Sorry to hear about the cancer coming back. Hate to see anyone one with this condition. I have an Uncle and a few friends that have passed from it. Also, had a good friend in high school that beat it. The name of my build is in honor of a friend who had it a few years ago.

I wish your mom the best in her fight.

Btw.. The truck is incredible.

I wanted to say thank you to Mike from slosh tubz for getting on board with Tootsie. We will be using the inner fenders to clean up the under side of our fenders. These are a great product and a must have to clean up you motor compartment. I work on the truck today and manged to get one fender in. I had to modify my fire wall because mine is thicker then the stock one but it went great. Here are the pics.
