There's more elbow grease into those campers than axle grease, looks like. Good for you for seeing their need and helping out like that. Their faith in humanity should be well restored for now. To be honest, it just helped mine

I bought a Silouette Cameo cutting machine (kinda like a plotter, but cuts) because I wanted to make stickers, decals, maybe shirts? … Anyway I asked my grand niece (9) to draw me up a bunch of pics so I could try and get this thing figured out. Lots of YouTube, trial and error, and maybe some cuss words, I made these for her.

I used Photoshop and Silouette Studio for set up. Each sticker is die cut to a depth that leaves the backing on the sheet. I could have cut right through each one so they were separate stickers but I think she will like this more.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

Busy weekend at the lake house. One of the Wave Runners had a problem starting a few weeks ago. Dr. Google advised that it was caused by a faulty starter solenoid / relay. It amazes me how they can cram a $ 110.00 bill into a 2" x 2'' x 2'' box. Not a hard fix...access is the biggest obstacle. Operation was a success. I have to say, after 10 years, this is the 1st repair on either of the two.

Then the 2020 Polaris Ranger was having problems starting. It wouldn't engage the starter until multiple attempts and searching for a sweet spot on the brake pedal. Well, you don't know what you don't know. Come to find out the brake / start sensor is actuated by brake fluid pressure. Dr. Google comes to the rescue once again. This pressure switch is ''upgraded'' from previous years...probably means cheaper. A quick fix but, all the forums threads I read suggested to replace it with the compatible older version. So, I did. This is a known issue BTW.

Thankfully, the local Polaris dealer had the part...another smooth $ 100.00 bill. Didn't even come in a box LOL! 10 minute fix and didn't have to bleed the brakes.

Outside a bit of weather and grandkids Labor Day Weekend soccer tournaments getting in the way of lake time, fun was had by all. Not to mention great eats for a dozen people.

I hope everyone has had a safe weekend.

That was very nice of you, its hard to find people like that anymore.

My wife and I got up early and went to a really good little cafe for breakfast. This place is really small and very busy. You have to get there early or it's tough to get a seat and the weather was still relatively cool at 7:30. So it was easy. We got a seat right away.

Then we went to the art show that we skipped before because of the heat. What a joke. There was no art there. Not what I'd call art. Just a bunch of useless swap meet type junk and it was already starting to get hot. It was 106 degrees here today so we retreated into the air conditioning. My wife did brave the heat and cook a beer can chicken on the BBQ. It was really good. I didn't help at all. (I'm useless) Too hot for me.

Wasn't by chance the Knotty Pine Cafe at the Oildale exit off 99 south was it?

To die for Biscuits and Sausage Gravy. When I can, I always time my trip through Bakersfield to stop for breakfast there.

You guys have a Knotty Pine, too? I try to stop in to this one for breakfast when down that way... near my sister's place. Not much change over the years, just a good old American diner where locals eat and chat. It's also a lounge at night

That's a great shop and it must feel great having it under roof. She's dried-in now!

No. It was The Cracked Egg. It's a little hole in the wall place in downtown Kernville. It's good.

Yeah it's in Bakersfield. They are always lined up outside waiting for a table. Breakfast always served on an oval platter, a round plate is too small!:lol:

Gotta give somewhere for the gravy to go  I've been to Bakersfield but don't recall getting breakfast. If I was Paul I'd be telling a wild story about now. When I googled for pictures of the VA one I saw there's probably at least one in every state. Big coincidence!! Shoulda known

Say what you want about Bakersfield but they have some darn good restaurants there.

We go to a place called Grandmas Tamales. It's not a great looking place but the food is to die for. You can see them making fresh tortillas for your order. Nothing beats fresh. But order the mild salsa, the one they give you is really hot. The mild is hot but the hot is scorching hot. It'll make you sweat and then your head will explode.

My wife worked in Bakersfield and her coworkers gave her the hot tips of where to get good food. I'm usually in a food coma when we come back up the canyon.

Nice work!

I spent half the day at the hospital urgent care because my wife's back is worse than mine. If I hadn't had to help her get around in the wheelchair, I'd've seen the doctor, myself.

I got a few Tire stories

6 months ago, I replace my 22-year-old trailer tires (Because)

They had plenty of tread but valve stems and side walls:uhmk:

Then last week,
The Steering wheel started wobbling on the Frontier.

I busted a cord in the front tire.:uhmk:
40,000 miles and plenty of tread 4+ years old

My Tire Guy got me some Fire Stones for 210 each.

It always bugs me to replace tires that still have plenty of tread. I don't think the VW that I just bought has any miles on the tires. The car had been sitting for 5 years. (Somebody ran out of money) The tires are crispier than crackers and have more cracks than a bad cement job. ( I was going to say something dirty about the cracks but I kept it clean) :) I do try to keep my filthy obscenity ridden mouth under control.

I had to go see my lawyer today and sign some stuff. That was fun. And it probably only cost me about 800 bucks. They aint cheap. I should have gone to law school.

I'm not in any trouble. I'm just getting sued (again). It's just the price you pay for not caving in to other peoples demands. :m2: They want money and I won't give it to them. It's a mess but I refuse to back down. I'll let the lawyers eat it up first. I don't like backstabbers. Let em eat cake.
Although "Let them eat cake didn't work out so well for Marie Antoinette. Didn't she get her head whacked off for that? I don't know but she wasn't popular.

Took my girl in for her shots. I cannot believe that she is already 3 years old. Time fly's.
She weighed in at 33 pounds and there's not an ounce of fat on her. She's just built like a brick sh-t house. She's thick. And tougher than a cheap steak.

She's wet in the pic. She attacks the hose when we water the plants. Crazy dog.

Wife heard a noise late last night like a tree fell over. Couldn't see anything and didn't care to roam the yard that late. Found this in the morning. Huge branch snapped off a Water Oak (I think, It maybe a live oak). Not sure if it was weight or disease (or both). Well time to test my new Hobo Freight electric chainsaw. 4.5 hrs and 8 or 9 loads in the old Nissan got her out of the yard. I got to admin the HF Bauer 16" electric perform great. Well worth the money and way more powerful than the one I wore out over 10 years.

Was too tire after to show the pile of debris waiting on the city to come collect. Time for some Motrin, AC and a recliner :mm:.

Not Today, but last Tuesday we stopped at the Durango Diner on Main St. in Durango Co. Had a great breakfast and picked up a case of their green chile. Then we went for a train ride on the Durango and Silverton Railroad.

thank you sir.i had just run up the road to a friends place in the old 67 wagon and coming back home,i was going to do my regular loop through the Joggins Fossil Center parking lot to look at license plates and see who's around.there were these 2 old Airstreams, one missing a wheel so i stopped to see if i could help.they were a long way from home,Friday and Labour Day weekend.they were searching for someone to come tow it and a place to tow it to?nobody could do anything til later the next week so i said drag that mess around the corner to my place and we'll fix it.it took about 8 hours, they had to go a trailer place an hour away for parts but i got them up and running again.they were pretty happy and surprised that anybody would come help?i said it's what we do.they were a week into a 3 week vacation so thrilled to get back under way.they left with our contact info if they had anymore trouble and we said to let us know once they were home safe,no news yet so i guess no news is good news?
