Both sides are now equal at 9 degs caster and .25 camber. Truck drives nice.

just a note if you buy CPP upper and lower tubular control arms each has 5 degrees built in yielding 10 degrees total caster, so I think that my 9 is just fine for my application.

nothing wrong with that as long as there is no wind the day you spray. Preaty cool idea.

Got to love single stage lacquer. I've painted several cars in the driveway in southern California early in the morning when there was no wind or dew.

Not any more, except for Dupli-Color "Paint Shop" lacquer at O'Reillys. My experience with their metallic blue on my '68 Skylark was less than stellar. I sold that in '14, though. I'd suspect that the red, yellow and black that I had bought would still be OK. I still have those colors, as I was going to paint flames on it. I dropped the driveshaft on my head when installing the 350 Buick engine and trans while removing the Chevy power, flinched and hit my head on the concrete driveway. I got a concussion which took about 6 months to clear up. During that time, I sold it for about 1/10th of what it was worth. That's what brain damage can do to you, I guess.

Noticed this when I pealed the tape . The number 47 is stamped right into rear door pillar . Strange I didn’t see this before .

I ordered a clock to go where the vacuum gauge goes to complete my gauge cluster, it already has the tach.

I found a 10 bolt front axle cheap with the gear ratio I wanted so I figured I could rebuild it cheaper than just re-gearing my D44....
A couple of rainy days and it's going back together now
all replaceable parts from the inside out are new...
pressure washed inside and out...plugged all openings, sandblasted and wire brushed the housing...primed , painted and partially re-assembled...
I'll install all the outer stuff once it's in the truck

Did some more on the truck. Soon I won’t be able to work on it , as it is now I have to pull it out of the barn to work on it not enough room in the barn with all the posts . Lock came out ok some really deep scratches. When I went to work on the window and regulator found one of the rollers was toast . Should have looked more closely so it’ll be a few days till I get a them . Start on the passenger door tomorrow

I cut some pieces out of the dash of a truck at the wrecking yard today to use as templates for cutting A/C vent holes in my dash.

Yes, I hope so. Will feel less wasteful for cutting up a dash if multiple people can use them.

Long time no see guys! Haven't done much, heck just drove the truck for the 1st time in months yesterday. Nice to just start her up and go :-)

I did get a NOCO GENIUS2D Trickle Charger installed a bit ago (from Amazon), though I primarily didn't go out to get one for the truck but one for my daughter's '69 Austin-Healey Sprite (that is basically a MG Midget). Her car sat so long the battery died... I'd wished she'd get her drivers license already and get it out of my garage. Kids these days LOL

Anyways, I figured if I was going to get her a trickle charger, I'd get one for my truck too. I mounted it on the right side of the battery tray (radiator side of the tray), there was just enough room to get its little mount on the battery tray. It actually ended up being the perfect spot as the wires for the battery and power were just long enough to get where they were needed. Didn't take the little charger very long to switch from pulsing red to solid green for a fully charged battery (its basically brand new). The Sprite, still blinking red after hours - so I am pretty sure the battery is weak (though my big charger said it was fully charged).

If there was one complaint, it is the length of the power cord - it would have been nice if it was double the length. On the Sprite, the battery is up behind the motor on the firewall. So even with taking the charger to the max distance from the battery, the power cable can't reach out to the grill/bumper area. I am going to need to make a power cable extender so we don't have to open the hood to hook up the charger.

Nice! It's good to keep batteries maintained like that. I have two batteries in my travel trailer that were new 5 years ago, and checked out good awhile back when I had other electrical issues worked on. My trailer is at a storage lot, and the batteries are on the maintainer in the garage.
