It doe'snt really have a pee trap. A Pee trap stops the fumes from coming up and into the living space. You know methane is explosive right.:lol::lol: I'm sure it's all to code.:lol::lol: Bubba missed that the outlets aren't GFI protected.:lol:

That strainer will stop the $hit from clogging up the pipe that I didn't put a trap in. I'm going to fix that, but no time right now. The outlets are GFI protected. You only need one in the circuit. SEE, now stop picking on me. :lol:

Of course you do know Alan you have to do a project pay off video so you need to yell across the fence to Shannon and tell him to bring a video camera cause we want action shots. I know that you put a lot of work into your truck and that paint is gorgeous but you are going to have to grit your teeth and put a little burnt rubber in the fender wells.:devil:

That's a hard question. I will say this, I used a cheap gun on the first car I painted 23 years ago. I used it for primer and single stage. If you use only one gun clean throughly between primer and single stage. I was pretty meticulous at cleaning the gun. I didn't have any problems on that one. Since then I've had contamniates come out on my color coats and later on clear coats. It's very irritating to have a nice job and something like that happen. that's why I and most all painters have a seperate gun for primer, color and clear at the least. I've used cheap guns and was well pleased with them. My first gun came from Sam's club. Since then I've bought guns from Matco and was pleased with them. After using the painters gun at work I was sold. I bought a used Iwata LP 1.3 tip from him. I love that gun. It really breaks up and atomises the material. I have less runs than before. I didn't have many, but I can see the difference.

Definately practice before painting. I tell people to go to a local body shop and get their left over paint and maybe some parts that came off a wrecked car and shoot those. Our shop recyles old paint. You may have to get some reducer and hardener. It's worth a shot.

Always spray your edges first no matter which coat you are on. That's on e of my major problems. I'm getting better at getting them.

If you spray mettalics always spray the panel in the orientation it will be on the truck. What I mean is don't spray a fender laying down on the table.

Sorry, I didn't answer your question directly. I just stated what I have done over the years. There are so many choices out there. What might work good for me might not be he best for the next guy.

Tanks for the paint gun advice Alan. I guess I will start with a cheap gun to get the etching and high build primers on then buy a couple better guns for the paint and clear.

As far as Shannon yelling at the traffic in the hood don’t worry about it us old Marines get kinda cantankerous but we mean well as long as you’re not to close when the veins are standing out in our necks you’re fine. Oh if you are call a maggot you might want to run.:haha::haha:

I got the fuel line all hooked up and ran. Still need to get the tank PC.

I pulled the drive shaft out to check the length. It came out of my truck when it had a PG and now I have a T350. The yoke wouldn't go into the tranny. I always thought the PG and T350 spline counts are the same. I counted and they were. I believe the corrosion on the yoke is stopping it from going into the tail housing bushing. I cleaned on it some, but it was late to try to fit it again. Once I determine the length is good/bad I will have the drive shaft reworked with a new yoke and U joints.

I took my girls up to Clayton, GA for fun weekend with me. We will be in the rivers all day tomorrow. They had a blast last year doing it. We are staying in a motel this time. Look at the friend we found in the pool.

I don't know which option to go with. Because of limited knowledge of drive shafts. I need a new yoke for my T350. I've been looking for a used one just for mock up. I haven't done much looking, but so far nothing in the used department. I will check the local junk yard tomorrow. So far in my research I have found this new one. Here is the info on it. It's not the exact same size, but since I am getting a new shaft made it shouldn't matter. Maybe I should just contact the local drive line shop and see which route to go. Maybe I can provide a measurement and just have them make it.



This yoke accepts 1310 series u-joints, which have 1 1/16" outside diameter cups and measure 3 7/32" wide to the outside of the cups.
