Yes I agree with both of you. We are getting close to paint and body work time.
After it is painted we will be two happy campers.

My family had a great time as well Alan. Your talent speaks for it self. As many times as I have seen your truck it is still flawless. Great work.

Yeah I put a little wax on it and the put it on the bed. I dont think I could have found a better original piece. Now to figure out if the color is fawn or saddle.

I was going through your build and your truck turned out great. Would not change a thing. Very nice truck.

Thanks Buddy!! I will do my best.

The plan was to take it straight to the sand blaster until further inspection. I thought it would be best too fit the doors and make sure the rockers are where they need to be and the door shuts with the weatherstrip installed. Then take care of a few other things, then take it and get it blasted.

With that said I need to move my 65 out of the shop and into the basement, so I can get busy on this one. No progress tonight, I hope to have the move handled tomorrow.

Got the doors hung tonight to check fit before it goes to the blaster. There are some issues that need to be addressed. Greg, we need to get together in person so I can point out what I see and have you decide what you want fixed. Most of these pics are self explanatory. I was able to get the door off the rocker some.

Adjusted on the passenger door. With several adjustments and tweaks I've got it closing pretty good. The only issues I see that are left to address is the uneven gap along the back edge of the door and the rocker gap is wide at the back and tighter at the front.

I will have a video to post later once it uploads.

I'll fix the link in alittle while.

Great work Alan. Cool, my truck is famous now that it's on you tube. All I've gotta do now is wait on music video producers to call. Thanks again for all the hard work Alan.

I got it (linking a youtube video), it's got to be a little easier than the way I did it.

Worked a little tonight on the gaps.. I ground the high spots down so the gap wouldn't be so lumpy. They aren't perfectly even, but I don't want to burn up too much time. I want them to look good at a quick glance. With all the different colors it's hard to tell exactly what they look like. Once it blasted and primed one color, it will look better in pics. The last pic shows a place I ground thru. There are a few of these places that will need to be weld and ground again.

Worked on the back panel grinding on previous repairs and knocking dents out. I will have to weld all the pin holes up on the previous repairs.
