Bomp gets the credit on that one... When he was attempting to help me diagnose problems with my welder we talked about his cart and he used a shopping cart... Idea stolen! Cart, not so much, but free nonetheless :uhmk:

Thanks for the encouraging words, the artwork is done for the 50's truck, just not on the truck yet... I see it around town occasionally, guess I need to check up on him... as for more art, I do mostly pencil shading... here's a few examples of some truck stuff I've done for some members...

I'm in little rock, actually I'm gonna be in searcy in about two hours to take down the chamber of commerce show at Harding (I'm a Tradeshow foreman). Wish I had time to bring my truck up and meet yA. Sadly I'll be driving a 26' box truck :(
If you're ever down this way I'd love to "truck talk". PM the next time you're makin your way down here. Also, Awesome build!!!

Just testing a resize photo app on my phone while I wait for Wife at Dr Appt...
Just read the thread from Liz about the need to resize pics in order to post via the site...
So here goes, this is pic of my project, from a while back, that I found in my phone's photo album...resized to 638x480
Didn't work, I ended up with an error telling me the file size was too big...
2cd attempt will be with pic sized down even more...539x410:waah:

It worked, but the time and effort involved has me now considering a permanent solution like imageshack or photobucket... This was done on my phone, but I use my camera also and haven't tried resizing on the macbook yet...

I use Photobucket, have to make sure you don't go over the 10GB bandwidth thing otherwise all your pics go blank.

Wish I could figure out the site pic deal especially sending/posting pics from the phone. That is Way cool Man:metal:

Thanks Greg! I just downloaded an app called "Resize Photo" and took a pic from camera roll and resized it down and loaded on the site... As posted I had to bring it down beyond the 640x480 limit to meet file size restrictions. And you can only post 1 pic per post from phone. Call me if ya have any ?s...

Re: Donz '65 SWB Stepper Budget Build...

For what it’s worth, I’ve been using Imageshack for six years. It’s very easy to use once the procedures are familiar. The only negative has been their “undocumented feature” of randomly dropping your photos, breaking your forum links. About every 6 months I would have to spend several days restoring all the missing photos.

About a month ago they dropped about 30% of my photos, which adds up to hundreds of pictures and broken links. They have an announcement on the website when you log in mentioning they’ve messed up the photos, and that they will all be restored soon. Weeks later nothing has been fixed.

I tried switching to Photobucket but met with some technical problem that wouldn’t let me access any of the links. in trying to resolve that problem I discovered that many long term Photobucket users are very unhappy with the site since a recent major renovation eliminated most of the preferred features. So I tried to see what is most popular right now.

Flickr seems to be most in demand at the moment. I signed up, and the links did work after figuring out how to navigate the site. A test post on my build thread worked, so I intend to completely rebuild at least my build thread and a few other technical threads using Flickr. I’m holding up for a few weeks however to see if Imageshack does restore any of the missing photos/links as promised. Having the images in place will save me days of research trying to identify which pictures are missing. If they still haven’t accomplished anything after another month, I’ll just do it the hard way.

I'm really sorry to be leaving Imageshack as it's been very simple to do exactly what I want, but most of these photo host sites are now trying to compete in the Facebook socializing world (which I have no interest in). This shift in priorities seems to be hurting the basic functionality of all of the legacy photo hosting sites.

wow mark...i really don't have time for more tech education right now. i just want to relax, read the forum and post photos like we used to. there's enough complication in building these trucks. why does everything get complicated...

i don't know about you man, but i would gladly pay a fee to the forum rather than hassle with alternatives. if the cost for more storage on the site is the problem or whatever it is... i'll do my share... i'm gonna work on my capital letters too...

I just started with Imageshack since the change up here, about two weeks now. I've already lost One Pic and Link:dohh:
Beginning to see the evil of FB and the changes out here in internet land:lol:
Guessing I will do the resize thing, as long as I can figure that out on the Mac, on my to do list!:mm:

Cool idea on the knob! Hope the brown truck shows up with you Eastwood order soon.

I have gone the route of resizing pictures. I do have a Flickr account but preferred to just upload to this site instead. Of course, that was when you could upload full pics and more than one at a time.

Looking forward to seeing some black on the back of the frame!:metal:
