Re: NAPCO Thread
If Fleetside is right then I am wrong. I never heard of or recall seeing even the first year called anything but Wideside. Pretty sure the GMC got no emblem. Very nice find

Re: NAPCO Thread
I believe that emblem belongs on a Chevy not a GMC.

RARE!!! 51 Napco $9500. Looks to be reasonably priced and complete.
https://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/...630252702.html 1951 Chevrolet 3800 4x4 pickup truck. Napco 4x4 conversion kit installed by dealership in 1953. 218 straight 6 cylinder engine. 9 ft bed. Runs great, 4 wheel drives works, head lights, tail lights are all operational. Has some rust in factory floor boards in the typical spots. Really neat old truck with a lot of potential. Re: NAPCO Thread
That is a cool truck. I've never saw one on that body style

Re: NAPCO Thread
Nice example of an early NAPCO at a price that seems quite fair. I love that thang!!

Re: NAPCO Thread
The listing stayed till it expired? Wow, hard to believe. I feel the same way about it (I think). V8 truck, 1t, traditional Dark Green, fish & wildlife. You better believe that would be restored right back to all that if that truck was mine

Re: NAPCO Thread
Another rare 4X4, a Coleman, not a NAPCO. A cool suburban though...

Re: NAPCO Thread
That's a decent price. Especially if you have a decent Burb or panel to convert to a 4x4.

Just picked up some 1/2 ton Napco running gear. Guy took it off of a 1950 carryall that he bought. The axles are off of a task force truck, and there's some grinding on the driver's side spring perch to compensate for the tapered front leaf spring setup on the advance design series. Now I need to find a truck to put these under

Can anyone with an original Napco setup take a few pictures for me? Working on my '56 3600 pickup and without knowing the actual history of the truck it looks like it was converted using older axles- front is a drivers side pumpkin, not passenger. Anyway- I am trying to find the correct u-bolt plates for the front end that go on top of the leaf springs. Whoever did the conversion simply torched out some plate steel squares to use instead. Thanks!
