Re: You guessed it, 1950 s10 swap.
Awesome build. How long did it take you start to finish? Great fabrication/craftsmanship.

Re: You guessed it, 1950 s10 swap.
Thanks guys. It took me about 3 years to get it to where i could drive it around from the time i bought it. But I didnt work on it for a bout 8 months after I got it. Gathered parts. Its never finished tho!

Re: You guessed it, 1950 s10 swap.
Going to take it to the rod run in pigeon forge this week the 15th thru the 18th. If you see me out give me a shout.

Re: You guessed it, 1950 s10 swap.
Sold the truck at the rod run. Went up there with no intentions of selling it, ended up being offered enough to let it go.... thanks for all the help and tips guys. I got a 54 i started on, will start a build thread for it soon!

Re: You guessed it, 1950 s10 swap.

Looking forward to the next build. |
Re: You guessed it, 1950 s10 swap.

Re: You guessed it, 1950 s10 swap.
Great build im trying to follow ur footsteps but i have two questions if you still remember. What bushings did you use and what wheels are you running? Those wheels really caught my eye.
|
Re: You guessed it, 1950 s10 swap.
Jarias- those are Mobsteel wheels.
Layedout- a couple more questions as I make progress, if you don't mind. Since you used drop spindles, did you need notchless tie rod ends as well? Or were you OK with the stock steering pieces with the drop spindles? What did you do to get the Raptor liner to lay so flat? I watched a few videos and it got to looking rather chunky- one of the things I liked about your project was how smooth the liner looked. Is the raptor liner any good at deflecting heat? Thanks~! |
