I got the rest of the front floor finished up and the roof in the front done. I cant do much more with the back floor until I decide how I am going to do a gas tank. I can cut the floor and use a stock style tank or have one made that fits under the floor, but if I do that, im afraid I wont be able to use a reciever hitch. http://i1127.photobucket.com/albums/...ps62cdb081.jpg http://i1127.photobucket.com/albums/...psf07b9412.jpg I was at a shop this past weekend and they had an Old Air add on kit that I think I may end up using for the rear A/C. It would be fairly easy to add to the roof in the rear and I think it may be small enough to incorporate into a console and just have vents for the rear seat. |
Re: 72 Dropmember Suburban
Lookin good! If you don't mind me asking, how much of the sound/ insulation did it take?

Re: 72 Dropmember Suburban
My rear door panels are in pretty bad shape and I was thinking I could just recover them myself with some vinyl. The first didnt turn out like I wanted at all so I am going to find another pair or have someone cover the ones I have. Anyone know anyone making repros?

Don't know of anyone making repops. I've got a WTB ad for a third door one and not having any luck. Apparently like civil war gold bars.

Re: 72 Dropmember Suburban
Got the harness installed and I now have lights :metal: I ordered it from Jegs and they were running a special when you ordered a harness you got a wire loom kit with it. The loom kit is back ordered so it still not finished.

Re: 72 Dropmember Suburban
Finally got a motor, its a 383 that a guy had built for a 67 SWB with porterbuilt suspension that he decided to part out. When I picked it up, it was still sitting in the chassis and the long tube headers fit.

Re: 72 Dropmember Suburban
For a heat shield for your airline up front I used pretty sure it was 5/8 rubber fuel line on the 1/2 airline. It works great for heat and vibration be sure to have a can of lube cause it is a tight fit Burb is absolutely beautiful keep it up

Re: 72 Dropmember Suburban
Been busy putting a lot of little things back together. The cool wire loom finally got here and I got all the wiring finished up, got my dash back together, transmission hump back on, the gas pedal put back in and I added in some door pin switches. Next I will probably get a brake booster and finish up the brakes. A couple of pictures from today.
