Took way too much time this weekend cleaning up the glove box door insert and the 4 door inserts. Was able to get glovebox door recovered and installed. Also got the factory 4th door wood grain insert redone. What a struggle but end result is definitely worth it.

Where did you source the wood grain vinyl?

Not too much to update with but did get all new glass cut for the doors and tinted. Reassembled both front doors other than door panels. Was thinking the tint should be darker but after installing and I believe once all doors and back window are installed it will be tastefully done. In my personal opinion when tint is too dark on old trucks it looks outta place. This is ceramic 30% tint

Back window and trim in. Tossed on one NOS west coast jr mirror. Needs polished and cleaned and some new SS hardware for final install. Drivers side is getting new mirror glass cut. It was broken during shipping

Small progress on the interior. Both front doors completely together. Sent some pieces for rear doors to get chromed so can’t go any farther on the back doors. I’m thinking of restoring the seats next.

Been pecking away at some interior stuff.
Got the center console restored and ready to install. Was in great shape just had to replace the bezel ring and chrome plate and ash tray. Used SS hardware where ever it was exposed. Next on the list I blasted and painted the rear bench seat frame and tracks. Took me two seats to find a solid bottom and solid back to make one seat. Brought the bucket seat frame into shop. Blasted them and replaced the bottom skirts with correct 70-72 skirts. There were 1978 blazer seats. Blasted and painted the seat tracks for the buckets as well. All seats are ready for foam and covers. Also got the division bar back from chrome for the rear doors. The exposed part of the suburban division bar is riveted on so I drilled them out and just sent the channels to chrome instead of hole bar. When I got them back I spot welded them back on where old rivets are. The fixed glass rubber will hide the spot welds. As far as I know I’m only one so far to chrome the division bar channels but I could be wrong. Just looks more finished with the wing window assembly being chrome on front doors. I don’t think the rear ones were offered in chrome from factory. Every one I see I was painted black.Put new window felt runs in. Re assembled the LH rear door with new tinted glass and got the door panel and wood grain installed. Starting to look more and more factory on the inside. Really proud of the 4th door panel as it was never offered with a door relay hole and crank handle. Posted via Mobile Device |

Nice looking workmanship. Better than if the General had done it himself.:chevy:

Re: 1972 Chevy Crew Cab “Denali”
Did I understand correct?? Squarebody blazer buckets are basically the same as 69-72 buckets? I didn't know this. They will accept 69-72 foams and covers?

Finished assembly on the passenger side doors. Had to pull it outside to get some sunset pics and see what the glass looked like. Really make it look finished off with the 30% tint. Not too overly dark
