I totally understand that! That's why I pushed the truck I was working on out side to work on my wife's truck. My Longhorn has had no work done to it since I dropped it off. There for, I'm counting on the 76 being easier to get running than the Longhorn now that I'll more than likely be bringing it back home to finish myself. Keep at it man, you too have game!

The new mods look great! Nice and subtle, just the way I like it. I always liked the mods where people look them and they start scratching their heads. They know that something has been done, but they just can't figure it out. That's when you know you've done it right.

I gots no skills ......... I have no Kung Fu
Even though my space heater keeps the garage at about 70* even on days like yesterday when it was -40* outside. But still, I may invest in a creeper, or like Veronika a long skate board ;) because that floor is still cold as ....... well use your imagination LOL !!!

I work out of town regularly where it gets into the mid -40's so i feel your pain....I just built a shop addition and stuffed a nice heating unit into and it sure makes me wanna spend more time in the shop. More room and heat with a nice smoothy shiney floor it's all good.

Ohhhh and the shop envy sets in once again !!!
Nothing like trying to roll a few hundred pounds of newly rebuilt engine and transmission on a hoist across an uneven and cracked floor to give you the scrotum check.

When I lay my shop floor it is going to be one of those like yours, smooth, shiney, hard and reinforced with rebar so I can set a lift in there if I ever get to be so lucky !!

I hear you there. My floor isn't perfect in my shop, but it beats the hell out of dirt or gravel. And believe me, I'm going to try to get the 76 running this week. Tired of pushing all the trucks around.

I still don't have my shop layout set in stone so I find myself walking around in cirlces looking for stuff. I really need to get some shelves in and get the place together.....but there is heat and cold beer and a baby a@@ smooth floor so I am sooooooo happy

A couple pictures of my buddies truck thats in the back corner of my shop while we trial fit some stuff. This truck is wicked...it lays front bumper and running boards...The engine dyno'd at 426 Hp and 430 FT torque...it's going to rock. 4 link in the back, some mini tubs, lots of body mods, it's bad a@@.

You guys do great work, I like the bumper addition very subtle. How much did it widen the bumper, it doesn't look like much against the valance (just enough). Like someone else said you'll have people scratching their heads. Always fun seeing your posts, can't wait for drive day, will it see the road this year, any ETA for it?? Later

Thanks man .....

I added about 1 1/4 to the bumper....and I am so driving it this year for sure. The engine should be finished and off the dyno for mid Feb....paint and body should be completed March. But there is a ton of stuff to do on it still, I have been gathering my buddies and getting them ready to help me get all over it as soon as the body is ready to go ......

Dude, your buddy's truck is sweet! Nice to hear about the smooth azz floor. I hear ya about getting organized. My buddy just started sheeting my south bay north wall and put some shelves up in there. He spent 2 days organizing and throwing crap away. It's crazy how much crap we have in there for the building only being used for 2 years.

Good to hear, from the pics you have a great crew, driving should be no problem. I'm hoping to do a long distance to Goodguys Puyallup in July, maybe we'll cross paths.

Hey it looks like it's in pretty good shape....
For the record I should say i have a apprecation of all kinds of things that move and that are mechanical...espically if they are taken care of and old

Re: 1966 SBBW pro street

Well had a great work day on the chassis...it's been sitting a while so I didn't want to take any chances....drained the oil poured it back in the top half on each side.....pulled the distributor out and drove the oil pump until it came back up into the pushrods and heads...pulled the plugs ( which was a pain because i had to take the headers off to get at 3 of the plugs, apparently there is going to be a modification of the bolt flange before those go back on )..light spray of WD40 into the cylinders.Polished both value covers and breathers, polished some of the other bits and parts. Rolled it over by hand a bit while the plugs were out and it's all good and ready to go . I hope at some point on the weekend to fire it up and hear it run....
