Well here are some pictures of the completed head light assemblies. I had to open up a few of the mounting slots to get them to fit correctly. But looking very very nice quite happy with them. The guy and Code 510 gave me half off of them since they shipped after I got the refund from him. Apprently crossed in the email lol when I told him he said very much thank you and here's 50% off the order now :D
the first couple are the assemblies and the notches that needed opening to fit the headlights.

Well body shop guy finally made it over a lil more got done today. seam sealer is completely finished in the cab and now ready to raptor it on my next day off :D couple of the light spots need touched up and a few more holes welded shut lol. We also got the cab perfectly aligned on the frame with some kinda odd measuring thing he did just took a couple bunch and nudges. Also ARP cab bolts are in place and ready to go. Talked to my machinist buddy he is going to make me some custom stainless spacers to go inside the polyurethane mounts!

Also went back on the led tail lights I am building and designed the circuits slightly different so only have to worry about 2 wires coming from the housing instead of 3 so I can use the 1157 adapter plugs and merge it straight into the harness. Also a friend of mine mentioned trying to get the led panels to fit inside the lens instead of riding on the back so started experimenting with that. It is getting there just need more plastic and make another stab at getting them equal all the way around. I am giving the test set when I have them RTV'd to my friend with the suggestion :D

Due to the success of doing the LED lenses for the park and tail lamps I am going to experiment with cree hi power led discs and some focusing lenses in the back up lamp housings...... Will post my findings hehe.....

Well went and looked at the bed assembly off a 1961 chevy truck has a few minor wrinkles here and there and also is a horrible shade of pink but body guy says he can work with it. now I just have to save up and get it water blasted and cleaned so he can get it into his new shop and start painting and raptor lining it.

Still playing with the LED backup lamp setup more parts coming in next week after I blew up one of the led star array with too much current lol. the little led was bright as hell then 5 seconds later went flying across my garage rothflmao!!!!

After about a weeks cure time was able to finally start putting a few things back in the cab. the wiring harness will be going in soon as well :D. Got the Newport wiper setup bolted in and definitely a quality piece of work. Also got my old air heater/ac unit back in place and started looking at where to put the junction for the defrosters under the dash. Its gonna be danged tight up under there here very soon :D Old air just came out with some new vents as well here a picture of one of them.

The latest thing I have been working on is trying to figure out a backup light switch for my Allison trans. it does not have a external NSBU switch like the older ones. I bought one of the 5 speed models to try out so far it's taking some tweaking but I might be able to get it working. I talked to winters performance they guys who made my gated shifter and they do not have anything that would work :/

Well I had success with the Allison 5 speed backup neutral safety switch working perfectly only activates in reverse gear. Finished the front half the relay harness tonight for it. Will be working on putting the harness in tomorrow and bundling it up with the rest of the rear end harnesses :D .

I also got the heat sinks in for the backup lamps I am building with some star based led assemblies. The leds are coming in tomorrow night and will be testing out the various resistors my wife helped me figure out for them. The first led array I did not check how much current it could take and the little led flew across the garage trailing smoke lol. Luckily my wife know electrical circuits very well having been a medical equipment repair technician. I found the flying led last night it hit the opposite wall of the garage rotflmao ahhh the lil things..... I got two different sized heat sinks to see how much space they take up and it is looking like the shorter two will work best. I got the heat sinks drilled and tapped for a 10-24 thread bolt setup to secure it to the housing. cant wait to see how bright the leds are they are rated up to 1760 lumen so should be nice and bright.

And the last thing I started working on last night was a duct to go behind the dash panel for the ac vent. It is work in progress so far rough and ready but it should do the trick.... so instead of corrugated hoses running every where under the dash will have a couple short lengths here and there.

Well the leds for the backup lamps arrived and dam they are bright quite happy with them. still need focusing lenses and they will be all done but for some clear sealing RTV. Also got the hydroboost adapter spacer plate made for the firewall today. Waiting on paint guy to do final paint shoot on the cab before mounting the under dash support bracket and bolting the hydro unit on the firewall..

also stole an idea from American classic and made a harness mounting plate for the inner fender holes on the firewall. :/ again waiting on paint guy to finish the cab so I can start installing more stuff lol. Also got the AC duc mounted behind the dash still a few tweaks need to be made to it to get it completed.

Well the first vent duct didn't turn quite how I wanted it so I went back and tried a different technique and it came out much nicer and very slim fit behind the dash :D. Also got the brake pedal bracket and gauge dimmer module in the truck in the last few days. Also the adapter plate and hydro boost unit are mounted just need to get the column back in and can finish up the threaded rod connection to the pedal.
Unfortunately my computer mounting brackets are catching interference from the hydro booster unit :/ So time to redesign that and see what my options are there next.

Also spent the last two days installing the harness to see where adjustment to the layout were needed and got that all lined out. Sunday will be working on the computer mount and harness install. I need to pick up a brake master cylinder here soon so I can finish the master to proportioning valve brake lines.

well some more updates. Body shop guy coming over in a few weeks to hopefully get the final shot of paint and get the cab looking good. I don't quite regret using him but at times I want to stab his ass with a cattle prod/pitch fork oh well deal and go on about it urrrggghhhhhh!!!!! chassis harness is installed still have a few items on it to address but quite pleased with it's install and layout. Had to go back a do a few revisions on some of the layout but nice and done now!!! Still have to cut down a couple sections for various items but for most part done there! Also had to do a few mods to the Delphi bulkhead as the seal wasn't sealing all the way around the greatest. Drilled out a few more perimeter bolts on it and now it seals very nicely lol..

Also got the transmission thermostat roughed in trying to keep it clear of the alternators.... Which is another story still in progress lol. Thinking of doing a dual alternator dual battery setup but have not come to a complete decision on that just yet. if I do the dual alternators looks like a slight cut out of the inner fender will be in order to clear it for use. Definitely looking at getting a transmission temp gauge for it as well just trying to figure out where to mount it in the cab that looks good lol.

And I finished the final backup led lamp setup today and letting the sealant dry then will be ready to drop in place. Clears the lens by a hair but shines quite brightly so won't have any problems not seeing anything behind the truck rothflmao :D

Captain,
It's the earls 165 degree oil cooler setup but will work for trans fluid as well.
I am getting a derale fan for the cooler and a trans temp gauge soon as well.

Well getting around to getting some other things done..... Me n the body shop paint guy are going to have a pitch fork meeting if he keeps up the crap :/ but been working on a ton of other things to get them done and ready for when he finishes :D the led marker lamps are just about complete just waiting on the led waterproofing sealant to come in and they will be done. Got them wired up n ready. I found a place that sells 1157 bulb sockets with wires in them for wiring up the leds without a bunch of excess wiring. It turned out really nice as you will see.

Well have been very busy of late as the following posts will show. Still arguing with the body shop guy about pulling his head out of his rear end and getting my truck and my friends trucks painted I mean 2.5 years really and ya aint done???!!!???? Well on to the updates in the last few weeks have got the sound deadener installed, hydroboost fittings and lines nearly finished and installed, new brake lines are finally finished, and the wiring harness is finally in under the dash :D

ok after extensive reading watching you tube on deadeners I went with noico deadeners it runs about a buck a square foot. but be warned make sure and use heavy duty gloves with this stuff the thing middle foil loves shredding fingers as I found out lol..
but it really deadens the cab nicely and is very easy to cut and apply where needed

For some reason it seems that getting body and paint done often times ends up being a huge delay in people's car or truck builds.

And got the new hinges mounted today and starting to look at my piston idea I had tried once before. The old setup wont work with the 8.1 engine so going at it from another angle. The pictures tell all. Just got to find some gas pistons with a certain set of dimensions and see what flavor of weight capacity will be required for them to work correctly.

spent quite a few hours yesterday finishing up some smaller projects I have been meaning to get closed to being finished and very very happy with the fit n finish. A few minor lil things that I am not going to go back through and redo since it is looking very nice at this time. Friday will be mocking up the bmw seats to check clearances on the subwoofer but I believe I should have no clearance issues as it is pretty slim and nice looking.

Well I gone n done it lol. Wife said "sure honey if you want a car ok you work enough I have no problem with it" hehehehehehehehe went to a dealership looking about to see if they had what I wanted lol. Well got there they said yeah we got a few want to test drive one?? I said yep! Took one out for a test drive and was hooked!!!!! Then they said lets go back inside and talk about price. I told the salesman no more than 400/month. He said well that one is gonna be 650/month any chance you would agree to that?? Said nope because it will interfere with my pickup truck funds! He said truck fund?? I showed him smurf and explained this is why I want no more then 400/month...... His boss came over you sure sure you can't do 650 a month and I said nope not doing will pass....... Then the said well lets look around and see what's available!!! 15 minutes later yep we found one can have it here this weekend......... I said ok what payment?? they said 396 I said ok lets do this!!!!! Well salesman gets me hooked up on my link after I get through the paper signing and complete shock of a decent interest rate on a brand spankin new car lol.......... Well I made use of the lovely tracker app on the mylink app eagerly awaiting delivery of my soon to be new car........ Well Saturday I saw the car was on the move every hour checking the tracker going stark crazy at work!!!!! Told the boss I got a new car as well and was hoping hoping I could get out of work early............. Well 430 pm rolls around car is at the dealership and check every hour making sure sure it was there!! Well get off early and break the speed limit heading to the dealer ship (luckily no DPS watching that night lol) Get to the dealership and see her sitting there!!!!!!!!!!! oh man I was so pumped so went in and talked to another salesman since the one I was dealing with was not there. And he said your here for your car? I said yep and pointed to her it's right there...... He said let me check..... well an hour or so later got to drive her home hehehehehe broke the tires loose at least twice getting used to her....
SO PUMPED!!!!
And here she is loosing some parts hauling capacity but oh hell can get to them parts much much faster now bwahahahahaha
