btw, are you putting the new plastic style woodgrain pieces on your door panels? I couldn't find the aluminum ones anywhere. I don't think they make them anymore.

No, I am going to make a set of aftermarket door panels. I do not know why more people do not do it. Im going ot buy or make an arm rest, and cover a board or plastic panel. I do not think it would be to hard in my mind. Ill follow the pattern down onto a kick panel as well.

I was looking at my buddies jetstream blue Covette today and liked the charcoal colored interior. THat might be a cool interior combo as well..... Hmmmmm LOL

Finally got my leaking thermostat problem fixed I think. I have a cheap chrome thermostat housing as the stock housing was pitted and toast. Since buying it and installing it the thing has leaked with a thin gasket, two gaskets, siliconed, gasket sealed you name it!
Well today I found of all companies a Mr. Gasket thick reusable thermostat housing gasket. The thing worked for fixing my leak!

nopics though... I did install a couple pics in the rear window and get a few parts ordered.

I agree, I have never had any luck with those chrome POS t-stat housings. I have since gone to using only stock cast types and haven't had any problems since.

Hope you stay leak free. :ito:

Fel-pro has a re-useable o-ring style gasket.

You can sand the bottom of the housing and it will help.

Perma-Dry Plus..no gasket sealer needed.....I had one of those cheapy t-stat housings and gaskets too, so I replaced it with this....works like a charm!!!

Hey vegaschevy - Is this your ad on Craigslist, for sale?

http://phoenix.craigslist.org/nph/pts/1733669026.html

Looks like yours. No mention above that you are selling it... especially with a project name of NOT2SLE. What's up, is this a scam or something???

His last post was on the 10th talking about his frame and rims. I wonder why he would talk about that when he listed this ad the same day...

Re: Project NOT4SLE

I had talked to him and he is planning on going a lot lower with a new front end and basically everything would be replaced....so it makes sense for him to sell the complete truck and then buy a new one that is more what he's looking for then drop it with PB goodies....

Re: Project NOT4SLE

I saw the CL ad before it was deleted. I'll bet the truck sold pretty quick. The price was very fair given the fact that it was a running, driving, registered vehicle. I have seen projects in pieces advertised for a lot more than he was asking. If I did not already have a project truck, his would have been at the top of my list.
