I didn't go back through all the pages but did you ever contact GM Canada and get the documentation on your truck, it will tell exactly how many were built, engine number, options etc. This is the one they sent for my car I bought in Canada.

Curious on the upholstery..... Been kicking around some ideas on what to do when I get behind my machine to knock out Steiners seat. On the edge of my seat to see what you're planning. |

I was wondering if you had chance to look for locking hubs for 4x4. No hurry. Take care of things at home first. Thanks, Mike

Re: finally come
Pimpston65, If they are like the ones I posted photos of in my want ad, I am interested. Trying to keep the 66 original. Your PM box is full and can't send you my address info. Thanks for your help, and hope things work out. Mike

Re: finally come
Pimpston,
Looking at your build, and the black mirrors on your doors may be what mine had. My 66’ doors have hole where mirrors were. Gone now, the holes for the mirrors are not typical of most GM mirrors. The holes look a lot like how your mirrors are attached to the outer door. Any information on brand, GM option? Some detailed photos of yours please. Thanks, |

Re: finally come
Man, so cool to see this build come up. I didn't see it from when it started out. I read the whole thing now and really enjoyed the enthusiasm you bring to the process. The NOS stuff is cool too. Understand from previous posts that life changes were happening. Glad you are back and moving forward on the 'Burb! New seats look sharp!

Re: finally come
Amazing.
Martin and I were talking about your cab lifter today. I need to build another one for my truck build. Need to find the dimensions again. Videos from 11 years ago. https://youtu.be/LxcuePYK-8Q?si=BXidJUixXhDDCbaJ And a girl lifting a cab. https://youtu.be/vfTC9wyQKK0?si=-Hce8TDee5NfvD4X Amazingly easy. |
Re: finally come
Hey all, for my lift jig I just measured to the outside door pinch weld. I used 2x4’s with enough space in between the 2 long beams to have room for the hoist arm to fit there. I used the hole on the arm where the lift chain would go to attach a threaded through both beams with washers and nuts on either side. The 2 beams had a block maybe 12” long attached to each end as the secure block catching on the door pinch weld. I hope that helps...
