Here is a Blazer that I have seen around town on the road driving and every time I tried to get a picture it was to far away in traffic. Saturday I took a drive up to Garden Valley Idaho for a car show and it was parked.

It's in the wild, and it's a wild one, but what is it? Whatever it is, I like it quite a lot.

Re: Trucks in the Wild
Its an old bird hunting truck. They are popular back in Texas.

Here is a picture I took to post here and never did 'til now. At the time I took the picture I didn't realize it was 67slider's truck or I would have looked closer at his bedwood.(Beetle kill pine)

I saw this yellow Blazer last week as I was crossing the country driving from CA to NY. I could not find anyone around and all the buildings looked deserted.

Here are a few more photos of the yellow blazer. Because someone built a roll cage inside I could not read the spid, but I could squeeze my phone inside. If anyone could give me any leads as to the owner I would live to buy this Blazer!

Parked beside this one in the parking lot at work this morning. Never seen it before and don’t know the owner but it was in fantastic shape.

Saw this nice 67 at the Rebuilding Center. A very nice lady owns "Buttercup' which is a 47000 mile truck she purchased several years ago from the original owner. Well optioned Custom with dealer AC, power brakes and power steering. The box is pristine as it had a camper in the back of it for more than 40 years. I wish I could have gotten more pictures but the phone died after just one.

Another well optioned truck I ran into at the Rebuilding center. AC truck with tilt.
And I saw this Burban down in inner SE on Weidler. I have seen him several times in the past but I never have been able to talk to him. I believe it is his daily driver. And the K model was headed north on I-5. It has a bunch of new aftermarket suspension parts on it and sounded healthy. |

And this one back in August. A really nice looking truck having some difficulty. I saw it and went back around and got this photo and pulled over to see if I could help but no one was around.
The question I am posing is. Should one post a picture here of a nice truck that has failed mid-trip? |

I've made several business trips through a small town here in Colorado over the past year and every trip I didn't have time to stop at this junkyard. I could tell by the size and from the road that it had some classics, but today I finally had time and thoroughly enjoyed walking around. I took pictures of the 67-72's (not very many), but there might have been a few hiding in other areas. I could have walked around for hours, but had to get back to the office.
Also saw a Jimmy sitting at a house in another small town. Attachment 1952170 Attachment 1952171 Attachment 1952172 Attachment 1952173 Attachment 1952174 |
