Reminds me a lot of my uncles wrecker they used for his yard in the 80s/early 90s. I bet he would’ve loved the fuel injection this one has. Ran I believe 5.13 gears in the rear- the employees complained it wouldn’t go very fast. “That’s the point- I don’t need you dragging in hulks going 85!” Was a pulling machine with a granny 4 speed. Good memories.

72 C20 Custom Camper $1500
Not a bad initial buy-in price for what looks like decent-bodied 72 Custom Camper in white/green conv two tone.
Unsure if doghouse/front bumper are original, so kinda hard to guess at trim level without seeing the SPID (I haven't asked). If the fenders are original, then it's base or Cheyenne - and would assume a base model based on the black lower moldings. But who knows. If doghouse and front bumper were replaced, could be a Custom Deluxe. Pretty cool project.

1. Does the truck appear to be priced fairly at $24K?

2. The truck does not have A/C but the seller claims it's an A/C cab. How costly and/or difficult would it be to have Vintage Air installed?

I would never pay anywhere near $24k for a 2wd long bed truck. The engine compartment is dirtier in that truck than my daily drivers. My opinion.

I. Do not lead sellers on. If you have no intention of purchasing an item, do not lead a seller to believe you are.

II. Make initial contact with the seller in the thread. Failure to make initial contact for parts you are interested in via the thread will result in account restrictions.

III.Keep in contact with the seller. Ensure you contact them when payment has been sent. Failure to contact seller within 48 hours of posting you will purchase the item will forfeit purchasing rights.

IV.Ask the seller for details and pictures of the item you are purchasing, to help ensure a smooth transaction.

V. Keep a fair timeframe for sending payment. Two weeks is the standard. If the seller chooses to give less or more time, it will be stated clearly in the ad. If you have not sent payment in that amount of time, the item will go to the next inline, or be relisted.

VI.If you do not like the price of an item, look further. Comments on value, condition etc will not be tolerated.

I appreciated the feedback, but I asked about the truck market generally, not if a specific member would pay the asking price. leddzepp might hate blue trucks so to him the truck might be worth very little.

When you say “the market” I assume you are looking at it in terms of an investment, and that’s how I answered your question. If you like the truck why not just buy it? It’s worth what someone is willing to pay for it at the end of the day. If you want an investment, buy a short bed 2wd big block original (or original looking) fleetside truck.

I love blue trucks. I also own 3 longbed trucks.

That truck has a nice paint job on the outside, but for $24K I should be able to pop the hood and be just as impressed.

Maybe I should’ve stayed with my first thought and not commented, problem is I learned a long time ago to not ask a question if I wasn’t prepared to hear the answer. I’ve seen leddzepp post for years here and don’t think of him as one to add comment just to hurt your feelings.
Buy it or don’t. Pay the price or make a deal. Looks like a decent truck in the ad and I’d be proud to be behind the wheel of it, but not at 24,000
