Re: What did you do today not on your truck...
My Bosch is a little older. It's a really handy little tool. So easy to handle. I did have it mess me up once but not stay set for depth. The lever spins to tighten once released and it just wasn't tight enough to hold. That's one thing the plunge router will never do

Watched 4 guys install my 24x41x11 truckport. Took them roughly 6 hours start to finish. Wish I would have went another foot wider but it works. Now all of my trucks are under cover and I don't have to park any in the main shop area any longer. Time to get the blazer spread out again so I can get the metal work finished up

New Frued forstner bits came in yesterday. Used them today wish I hadn’t waited so long to buy a real quality set . Used the 2 inch bit today on the drill press at 900 rpm cut the hard maple like it was butter. Making a spice rack

Found out my 3-4 year old Moen faucet in my kitchen sink has been leaking into the cabinet. Full of water. Had to rip the top veneer layer off the wood. Ordered a new faucet. F**k Moen.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...
Those are nice. I put one in the kitchen many years ago after replacing the whole cabinet floor. There is a mat on top of that like Weatherguard mats for a car, with curled up edges to catch any water (slow leaks). Guess I'll go and check all my cabinet supplies for seepage today.

I never expected the Moen to be leaking like that. Fool me once..... And all this after just fixing a leaking toilet that I didn't know was leaking on the bathroom floor. Where is my facepalm emoji? Haha |
Re: What did you do today not on your truck...
I got the rainy day discount and bought this little 1959 VW cheap for parts. It runs and drives surprisingly very well. Click the key and it fires right up. It's a lot of fun to drive and is registered until 2025. I almost hate to part it out but my orange bug could use the motor and trans. I have a set of rims and tires and could scratch up some rear fenders and a tarp...Hmmm.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...
Under my wife's supervision I put some old rims & tires that I had laying around on the 59 Buggy and a slight general cleanup. I think it looks better (couldn't look any worse) I also ordered some rear fenders that aren't all mangled. Bodywork done! Now just get some tractor paint a give the old girl a squirt. No pesky door jambs to worry about. I'm thinking Olive Drab green or keep it red? It's kinda both now.
 Or maybe Kawasaki green with black fenders to match my other Bug? Depends on what's on sale. I'm hoping to finish the whole car for under $2K including the price of the car. That's possible but not likely. Time will tell. I was going to part it but she said to keep it to give the grandkids rides. What the heck I like it. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/gallery/...dium/59VW1.jpg http://67-72chevytrucks.com/gallery/...dium/59VW2.jpg Before... And the Mustang emblem on the front is going bye bye. I just haven't got to it yet. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/gallery/...um/ConvVW2.jpg |

Modified the dust /chip collector. Works well and I don’t need to empty it as often as before .
I also finished up the little spice rack . My dumb ass broke one of the 3oz Ball jars so I have to buy another. |

Closing in on this remodel job I'm doing for a friend. Got the sheetrock finished up and painted. I built some pantry shelving that turned out really good. I'm a little envious of that pantry. It should serve them well. We put in a ventless gas wall heater in that room for emergency heat.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...
I'm not a pro at it, but the secret is lots of thin layers and tons of sanding.AND flat paint.
