Re: Random Photos ‘You took’
Yeah, you know how it is. Just like with the old GM trucks, someone sees how high a fine example sells for and they think they are all worth that. She has no clue how much time or money it can take to restore something. I'm not interested in that deal. I was excited until I walked over to look and took these pictures. I was disappointed. She didn't even buy it, so every dollar she gets is free money. And it's worth a good bit to someone wanting to bring it back "for themselves". I'm still smelling money. I'm going to offer to sell it for her for a piece of pie
It could be left funky looking, but made useable, and be a great swap meet motel. It would get the attention and I imagine offers to buy. It has '19 registration EDIT: Is today duplicate day? Yep, deleted my fourth post for today. And yep, took me back to Eric's original post  |

Don’t think this is what GM thought was flow through ventilation. Only rot on my 85 I’m figuring it was from the aftermarket AC . I fixed the AC the other day and was under the truck and water was dripping from the drivers side . The drain was plugged on the evaporator. The jute was soaked . Little grinding and some sealer and it’ll be good to go . As you can see it rotted the top of the rocker where the drain is

Got myself a Silhouette Cameo 4 cutting machine. After I figure it out I want to make some stickers and stuff. I already made it a “guy” machine with some of my own stickers I had sitting on my desk.
99 percent of the YouTube videos are of women making crafty stuff. But it’s all helpful =) |

Re: Random Photos ‘You took’
You live in southern California. You know those sticker weeds grow everywhere! That's what we called what some people call "goatheads". I was four and my younger brother was three, and we were to stay out of the back yard because of those stickers. Of course, we were chasing each other around, and ran out back, into the sticker patch. There we were, crying our eyes out, trying to pick our feet up and not succeeding! My dad came out and carried us both into the house with dozens of those stickers in our foot soles!

Oh yeah goatheads. That brings up so many memories. Between picking them off your feet after walking barefoot in the garden, and getting hundreds of them in your bike tires. Tough little boogers.

Oh boy do I remember those things. Nasty little suckers. They grew all over the place. We got them in the planters when I was a kid and my dad would make me go and yank them out. They didn't come out easy They had strong roots and I got jabbed every time.
I hated those and stinkbugs. We had both. Stinkbugs were like a miniature skunk. Sticking their rear end up and blasting away. Even if you smashed one it still smelled awful. |

Went to the "Great Western Steam Up" in Carson City today. Great time, great weather and lots of smiling people.

That Model T rail car is too cool. And you never have to worry about buying tires.

Paul's interest in air-cooled VWs got me to digging for pictures. Want to see some crappy pictures? No? Ok, have a look!
The '56 Bug I had through HS. I had stashed it in the barn on my folks' place while I was living on CA. I had the chrome Porsche wheels but the tires rotted up and when I got new tires I discovered one wheel was messed up, so grabbed the star spoke for cheap. Not the look I wanted, but it looked alright I guess. It was still a blast to drive! Attachment 2202977 Attachment 2202978 Attachment 2202980 The '66 Bus I had made into my camper I sold to my gal. She got run off the road coming home from the beach. I found a '63 Kombi that had camper windows to restore and put all the goodies in it. This is about as far as I got when she broke up with me. I remember saying, "But I haven't finished the bus, yet" The '66 picture was taken at a weekend bull roast field party. |

Cleaning out my little shop hoping to have enough room in there to easily move about this fall and winter. Down to 18 boxes of magazines (99% car) ranging from the 40’s through early 70’s. Water stain was on the box pre stuffing with mags.Winter project to scan what I want and then probably toss.

I zoomed in 3.5x to get a good picture. I didn't want to get near it. It flew in to one of the bays at work, landed on overhead door. Not of fan of this one.

Re: Random Photos ‘You took’
It must have sounded like a helicopter when it flew in.
That thing looks like trouble. |
Re: Random Photos ‘You took’
All you have to do to avoid trouble with it is not be a tarantula. Nobody here is a tarantula, right? Better keep those bushy eyebrows trimmed!

Re: Random Photos ‘You took’
I don't like tarantulas or tarantula wasps but I to like Tito and the Tarantulas
