Just ordered a new grille from LMC, should have it Wednesday the 29th. Before we put it in we will paint the white accent that surrounds it. I have noticed alot of guys leave that area body color, I think it looks better white, and apparently the factory did too!

Oil Filter was leaking.
Spun the old one off.
Cleaned splattered oil underneath the truck.
Spun the new one on.
Dang Autozone Plastic Creeper broke and split where the bolts are on the caster.
Need a dog bone creeper.
It's trash now.....
Shook my head.
Threw my hands in the air and said, "Serenity Now!"
Stuff happens:waah:

Completed ding and dent repairs on the passenger side of the firewall, sprayed the bare metal areas with etch primer, and finished most of the sanding. Also fabricated new gaskets and mounted the heater plates. Pulled the carb and distributor (for open access) as the last task for today. If all goes according to schedule I’ll finish sanding the area behind the engine tomorrow, mask on Thursday and spray on Friday.

Hey Mark that's about as well thought out as anything I've ever seen, you and your son should market those I sure would buy one. The only machinest I know is my nephew and he's in Minnesota. Anyway that's about as cool as it gets stealth-wise Corvette valve covers are cool and retro. Thanks for the link...Vernski:metal:

Finally got the 406 running well, (timing issue) fixed the tranny leak (stupid cheap dipstick), mounted and plumbed power steering pump....took her for a drive and......NO BRAKES....bad way to find this out!

Put on the "Custom" sail panel trim pieces from my other truck. I know, they aren't original to this truck, but I really dig the way they look. Plus I had them so might as well use them, right?

Love the valve covers, the truck is looking great, could you use those valve covers and the mods on a TB 350, mine has bolts holding the valve covers down in the middle of the cover ? :gmc2:

I assume the conversion would work if either the heads were swapped to early versions, or by using a pair of centerline to perimeter adapters like these:

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/TFS-31500811/

I’m not familiar with the vacuum ports on the later manifolds so those connections may require minor attention.
