Some of the 63 K20 that I used to have. Not a very good pic. I also have a pic somewhere of my old 60 Chevy panel. I will have to look for it.

New to this site. Have had a blast looking around and actually used some great info last week to replace the heater motor on my 66 chevy extended cab pick-up. YES! I said 66 extended cab. I realize there are other 64 65 and 66 extended cabs out there, but this truck is special. My dad and I started building this truck in the mid 80's. Completed it in 1987 and then I drove it daily to and from highschool. I lost interest after I blew the engine in 1990. Parked it and left it in the elements for years. After I built a shop I put it inside over in the corner where it has remained until last week. I'm finally at a spot in life where I can start to dedicate some time and money to restoring this truck. My dad did a fantastic job building this truck the first time and I want to make sure he is proud of what I bring it back as. His health isn't what it once was and he wont be able to do the paint or much of the body work with me this time. I'm on a mission! I have to make my father proud of what this truck becomes.
I'd love to share some pictures of its current condition but I'm evidently unable to understand how to post pics to this site.
I'll see what I can figure out?
Look forward to gaining much knowledge from this site and sharing my build.

Copeland welcome to the board! That 66 extended cab looks pretty sweet.

To post pics here the best thing to do is to host them here. Up near the top left under where it says

Welcome to the forum :D

That is a great story and I'm glad to hear that you kept the truck all these years. With the attitude you have, I'm sure your dad will be proud.

If you think you will have the time, how about starting a build thread in the 'Projects and Builds' section so we can all follow along.

Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks

I drove up in it. I pulled in at his shop and he was grinning from ear to ear. Still going to need to do some more brake work before I make a 50 mile round trip to get a new windshield installed. So far so good but it appears I'm going going to need another transmission or have to have the turbo 350 rebuilt. I'm thinking its on its last leg.
Hope to figure out enough about the site to start a build thread soon. Thanks for all the encouragement guys!

Funny how the utility beds' have not changed much over the past 50 years. Our new fleet trucks have the same design and latches. Of course that said, the design must have been correct the first time.
