Very nice! Not sure if that’s parchment or gold but it looks great with the olive. Also, I would not say “nice project for restoration”… more like “just needs a little polish”…

Good looking 72 Cheyenne on Bring a Trailer. Not mine. I did find this quote amusing " The seller notes that the steel is thinning in a rear corner of the bed and at the driver-side cab supports". Thinning that's a new one. Along with that new style Weber carburetor. It will be interesting to see where this one ends up at the end of the auction.
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/19...10-pickup-139/ This 1972 Chevrolet C10 Cheyenne Super is a ½-ton pickup that is powered by a replacement 454ci V8 mated to a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission. The truck is finished in white and green over green upholstery and equipped with a cowl hood, a tonneau cover, air conditioning, power-assisted front disc brakes and rear drums, power steering, a lowered suspension, Cragar 17″ wheels, an Edelbrock intake manifold, a Weber four-barrel carburetor, Pioneer speakers, and a retro-style digital stereo. The truck was ordered new for Boyle Chevrolet of Moses Lake, Washington and is said to have spent time in Northern California. The seller acquired the vehicle in early 2022, and subsequent work consisted of installing an aluminum radiator, a replacement carburetor, HEI ignition, spark plugs and plug wires, stabilizer-bar bushings, and front brake rotors and pads. This C10 is now offered with service records from current ownership, a build sheet, and a Wisconsin title in the seller’s name. |

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds Part 2
If someone is really looking for a Super, I'd make sure to check the SPID on that one. Keep in mind Supers never came with black headliners (unless black buckets were ordered). While seat covers and door panels are often swapped around - the headliner is one of those things folks seldom take the time to correct when doing a Super tribute truck. I'd assume this truck is a Cheyenne (only) until you see a SPID. And there's nothing wrong with that, but certainly goes into pricing consideration (due to clear Super claim by seller).

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds Part 2
What are the differences between the two. My Cheyenne has head liner but curious what else
|
Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds Part 2
This thread outlines the differences.
Both Cheyennes and Cheyenne Supers had headliners (Customs and Custom Deluxes did not), but the only available trim colors for Supers (with a bench seat) were parchment, blue, and olive. People generally don't try to pass off a Custom (base) or Custom Deluxe as a Cheyenne, they usually go all out and try to imitate Supers. Black headliner with a bench seat is usually a good clue it's a Cheyenne only. Always possible that headliners have been swapped to black for a previous owner preference or something like that - or that black buckets have been removed in favor of a bench - but pretty uncommon (the headliner swap isn't exactly "fun" and most people just don't notice these details anyway, present company excepted, of course). At the end of the day, all that matters is whether the truck has the YE9 RPO on the SPID - that or a YE9 on a build sheet are really the only ways to "prove" something is originally a Cheyenne Super, everything else is just detective work/guessing. |

If anyone is near Redding, CA and wants some CUCV Steelies I just ran across this post on Craigslist. 5 15x8 6 lug steelies for $200!
I’d go get them myself but I’m out of state working for a while. Hope someone needs them and can go grab them for what seems like a really good price. https://redding.craigslist.org/wto/d...618978284.html Posted via Mobile Device |
