I have one in my Chevelle that’s 8 or 9 years old . I was looking to buy a new one for the truck but the reviews aren’t that good . Guess when they moved from the US to Mexico the quality went down hill and I believe they are made in China now

Got the passenger door and fender painted today . I have them in the cargo trailer with an electric heater . I like to keep the fresh paint warm for at least 8 hours . Didn’t think about taking pictures.

I checked the Ohm's thru the ground wire to the gauge and got about 47 Ohms which is ballpark for the resistor across the back of the fuel gauge. Gauge should be good as tested and has always been fairly accurate.
I then cleaned the contact on the grounding wire hooked it back up to the sender and no difference.

Tomorrow I'll pull the sender make sure it's not hung up, and/or check Ohm's to verify it is indeed the sending unit.

About a year ago I experienced a similar issue but after burning a 1/4 tank or so it returned to and has been normal until it reared it's ugly head again, at the time I just wrote it off as a hung up float arm.

Well to follow up....The grandson came over today to hang out and we pulled the sender out, could only get .5 ohms out of it no matter the position. the arm thru the rheostat wobbled like it had a u-joint in it.
It's toast, new one on its way.

I remember the TV ads for Optima Batts: They shoot out 4 or 5 cells of a redtop with a .45 long colt six shooter and it still started.
I thought that was just advertizing...

I've been sick and my 2 old trucks have been neglected in the shop for a year+. The battery in the Blazer wouldn't hold a charge so I jumped it drove it down to O'Reilly's. I got a good deal on a Delco battery & a nice young lady installed it for me. I took the long way home and had fun blasting the Blazer around. BIG FUN till I got home and bumped a pole in my shop & broke the passenger side sport mirror... just old n' stupid I guess. Eckler's BIG warehouse is in Titusville so I bought a pr. of repro mirrors. Don't know how they'll hold up but they're pretty nicely turned out. Luckily the old screws came out & the doubler fell inside the door. I took the door panel off & lubricated the window & door mechinisms. My wife held the new doubler inside the door while I started the screws... I think the screws that came with the new mirrors are made out of lead and are flat head and look like crap. Even after putting a dab of grease on the sheet metal screws and CAREFULLY installing them the phillips part of the screws rounded off. The old oval head screws cleaned up nicely & screwed in smoothly. I wish the rest of the Blazer was detailed as nicely as the passenger door.

Built up new exhaust to put the muffler under the bed and exit in front of differential. I am no professional welder but I manage to stick metal together. Much better on the sound and the old exhaust exited short and you got a whiff of fumes occasionally. Now you can actually hear the radio.

, I went thru the same question , Being your truck has hubcaps I'd say painted since they're already done . or add the bling with the stainless ones ?

I'm no help on this one ! I have both sitting here myself and I keep looking at sport mirrors

Do you think the doors close easier with them than the factor ones?

I was kicking myself for not getting it sorted and done before putting the bed back on the frame. Would have been WAY easier.

I bet it sounds pretty good with a single exhaust and shorty pack and turn down. I did that with my old 56 ford truck. Made that Y block sound way bigger than it was. ;)

It's WAY better than this. I slapped this together to get it running and driving but after the first trip from Beebe to Searcy and back I told my wife that exhaust wasn't going to cut it.

Oh yeah, the misses. If you hadn't said it, she would I bet.
My wife and I took a 2000 GMC I had just bought on a trip down to Texas Motor Speedway. It had a single blow master or something like that with dual tails. We were both tired of it before we even got there. She almost wouldn't ride in it again after that. I changed it soon after. ;)

Got the clips for the hoops today . Installed them and the grille emblem not moving to fast took a spill on Sunday working the wood pile . Wet moss on slimy bark is like ice . Nothing broke but my left arm and hand took the brunt of it . Just swelling and a few bruise’s. Glad I didn’t have a saw in my hand I was just moving some rounds with the cant hook .
