That’s a great truck, and an awesome color! But I’m sticking to 71’s and 72’s only for the keepers 😉

Hope a member gets it, I think it looks like a pretty solid old truck. I mean, that's gotta be the original seat and it still has its blue floor mat. Cool truck. I DO wish people could take decent pictures - seller has TWO out of focus, unreadable SPID pics on ebay... I had someone send me a SPID pic that took 4 pictures to piece together to make sense of. Ha. Anyway, sorry, off subject... Someone buy this! I see bid is at >$5K already, with 24 bids, so he may indeed surpass original asking price of $8500.

Seeing the truck is only a long ( 9/10hrs) drive from me I called the seller and have the spid pics on my phone. I don't think the truck has power steering unles it was standard equipment. Speaking of standard equipment were power brakes, and i realize this truck would have drums, standard equipment on C20's..

I believe power brakes on a 20 series became standard in 1971. Per the spid this truck wouldn’t have had power brakes

Truck has been relisted. Maybe buyer looked at it in person and changed his mind?

I called on that one a few months ago when it was first listed. The only 6 cylinder fender badges were for a 292. Here’s the spid.

It’s got some cab rust. And both wheel arches on the bed have a few odd looking spots. It’s a cool truck for sure, but not quite as nice up close.

little help for the google-impaired ;)

1967 Chevrolet C/K Pickup 1500 K10 4x4

Quote:

Up for sale I have a 1967 Chevy K10 barn truck. Long bed. Extra double tanks. Metal bed. Equipped with a 350. It does fire up. But once it warms up, the left exhaust starts to smoke. I believe the valve seals are shot after sitting so long. Truck does move from point a to point b for parking purposes. Won’t be a problem putting it on a trailer. It’s just not quite road worthy yet. Power steering needs replacement. This is a very solid truck. It has dents here and there. Definitely a good work horse. Nice stance on some 31’s. Has hard to find components such as transmission and transfer case in working conditions. Tailgate is in very good shape. This truck would be great for a restoration project or a parts truck. Rust only in one area which is nothing to really even consider thanks to it being a Nevada vehicle. Besides that one spot, it is rust free. This truck has NO title. I have too many projects to be able to focus on this one so I have to give it up. Bench seat is there. Will need to be reupholstered- right now it just has a seat cover. Glass is all there. Small back window is broken. Any questions give me a call. Don’t be afraid to make an offer. Will be sold with a bill of sale.

Been in contact with the owner. My only reservation is he's asking top dollar for a truck with basically no options. No power nothing . Only thing it's a 307 co auto. This truck has been repainted so I'll have to look real close for rot repairs.

What say you guys is this truck really worth the asking price?

I am also looking at a 72 Cheyenne with tilt and ac . Bed is pristine and never painted asking 6800$ here is the spid

^ based on your research of options and originality, and without seeing either in person, I'd go with the latter..

but I'm a sucker for Ochre, one of my favorite colors of this era ;)

good luck with your decision!

Well the Ochre is supposedly a 36k original truck . Guy bought it from the neighbors wife. Owner passed just after bringing it to a shop to paint.
Here are some pics

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds

Here would be "my" decision matrix:
- do I want 1/2 or 3/4 ton?
- 3/4? while I really like that 70 with Turq paint, it's a lot to ask with no power options and a 307 (my pers opinion only) - I really like it, but I'd personally keep looking for a different C20, preferably one with disk brakes, higher trim level, and older paint.
- 1/2? If you like the Cheyenne - well, that price, especially if there's a little wiggle room, is not bad - assuming the cab is as good as the bed you described. It's not exactly loaded either, but quite a bit more so than the 70 - looks like a nice truck per the SPID.

Me? I'd keep C20 shopping. My experience when I've been on the fence and tonnage was the decider - if I bought the tonnage that was my 2nd choice, I eventually sold it and bought what I really wanted in the first place.

Nothing wrong with waiting a little bit and continuing to look.
(now, what's the C20 guy's phone number???)
;) JUST kidding...

EDIT! Ok, you JUST posted the truck pics while I was typing... Body not what I expected based on the description - didn't realize it actually needed a paint job. If you enjoy going thru the paint process, it might be a good candidate, but 6800 not as great a deal as just the SPID pic led me to believe. Still not bad, just maybe not as good a deal as I described above :) I think I'd keep looking unless looking for a project 1/2 ton. Interesting there's no trim RPO on the SPID (i.e. parchment vinyl)

That truck is not original paint, at least not the white. And I’m not buying the mileage claim. This paint line is 100% wrong, an obvious re paint. Just a buyer beware
