Still in teardown mode on a 67 SB I picked up a few weeks ago. I got the custom plywood floor ripped out of the bed to find some nice swiss cheese. It's amazing someone could let a bed get ruined like this.

junksaver: man thats a real bad bed...looks like you will have your work cut out for you, i guess you could rip out the floor and make it a wood floor, if the side walls were good enough to weld to....thats the worst i have seen....good luck.

Used it as a truck. Almost didn't fit. Thought I would have to go get my long bed but we got it. Should be a nice upgrade to my little shop.

The sun came out this morning.

So, I uncovered her, started her up, re-glued the headliner and checked for (water) leaks.

It rained like a mutha over the last couple of weeks. Looks pretty dry.

Found a badly placed throttle return spring. Fixed it.

CPP 5lug disc conversion and drop spindles should be here next week... Ordered four RE-7 bags and front mounting plates today! I'm collecting everything I need over the winter and I'm installing it all in the springtime. I can't wait to get my truck on the road again!

I changed my core support bushings. Man that was a chore! Now I have to change my motor mounts so my fan stops hitting the shroud!

I did the same thing. Be careful to remember where you put everything while collecting parts. I bought a few things twice because I couldn't remember where I put the stuff while I was collecting parts. It was nothing big or expensive, however, hours were spent saying; "I know I already bought that (insert name of part here)". Then digging through all of my stuff looking for parts only to run across the parts after I had installed the re-purchased parts. Now I have a few "spare" parts.

Back on Sunday I replaced the peep mirrors with some aftermarket heads on 72 brackets. I have much better visibility but I miss the clean lines of nothing on the doors.

I've change my ignition system . I've swap for a summit billet distributor , msd 6al , 8mm Taylor pro race wire , new accel rx44 with 0.45 gap . I've took my time , focus to keep the initial timing . My truck start perfectly , run smooth like EFI . Proud of my work !

Nice hitch I'm just wondering if its structurally sound will it snap under pressure while pulling a trailer on the highway going 60.

Had a "honey do" list to work off, so both the trucks just sat. My wife loves her re-bar christmas trees, so that's what I did. Thought I'd share my yard decoration with you. No lighted reindeer in this yard, just a bowtie! :chevy:

So the short block was finally picked up yesterday. Woohooo. It’s about time. Am I excited; no not really…it’s been soooo long I’m just glad it’s finally home. (I’ll still be pulling it apart to double check clearances and piston ring gaps, I am anal like that..)

My wife and a couple of buddies set the heads and intake on top for some quick pics.

Once the valve covers arrive they will sit them on, attach oil pan, sit on the carb and headers, and get some more pics.

Should look really sweet.. can’t wait for another 70 days or so till I can fire it up!!

Mine started then died the other moring, the carb was literally dumping gas into the intake. Anyone got a good used fuel pressure regulator they want to sell cheap??

I've got an Edlebrock (I think 650) carb you can have. Choke's wired up for that no-choke effect. It's yours for the asking, S.

Not sure that would solve your too much fuel pressure issue, tho, Bro

Great. It's yours. I have a drive today...To Moss Landing. Maybe we can meet half way some day this week...like Merced...
and I'll hand it over.

If that doesen't work (your truck seems to be not running).....Let me know. I can send it, too.

Let me know your schedule. We'll get it to you. Maybe someone's making a run from the Fresno area to the Stockton area?

I will be pretty busy til Christmas so I'll have to see when I can make it down that way. May be easier if you could send it, let me know.

i have this, found it right next to a big aeromotive canister type fuel filter that i forgot why i had. then i remembered it was to flipping shiny for my jeep.

this one say max inlet PSI 20 and adjustable from 5-12 PSI. the box is dirty as hell, but its new. i've no idea why i have this one.

also, with a carb, you can run an inline filer from a 75ish jeep wagoneer. they are dirt cheap and just like any other inline fuel filter w/3/8' inlets, except on the outlet(i think) side there is a 1/4" fitting that is used as a return. it lets excess pressure bleed off when the float closes the needle so it wont over pressure. ive used them several times in place of regulators on engines that dont have super zesty pumps with mucho success
