My 89 K5 Blazer, I've had for about 5 1/2 years now, planning an LS1 Swap, and 6 inch lift in the future, but unfortunately it comes after my 2000 Camaro SS and my 86 Iroc projects... |

This is my '87. It's 100% rust free and always has been. I feel lucky to have found it.

This Jimy was advertised in the For Sale section and I thought it would be a good starting point to get into the Blazer/Jimy Club so I contacted the owner and we made a deal today. I will be picking her up in two weeks on my way home from Chicago. I'm even going to drive her the 1200 miles home, and that should be an adventure. Its a 305 with auto trans and A/C and tilt and power windows and what i love about it is that its all original.

Can you post upclose pix of the gaping whole in the roof? And how do you cover it when it rains? I bet its cold in the winter time but sweet for summer cruisin. I like it!

The top is still a work in progress. I use a top custom made from best-top (custom Jeep top manufacturer) with a slide rail to secure the front and snaps around the rest. The entire top is streached across rolled weather stipping to reduce noise and keep water out. The plan is to fabricate a edge cap system that will have arched support rails for when the top is on. Currently it sags from the weight of the water when it rains. Overall not a bad system for the top, it only takes about 10 min to put the top on and about 5 to take off.
