Mine was no fun either! I put a spot of JB weld on the nuts to the inside of the crossmember to make it easier for my son when he redoes this truck some day. :)

Re: 58 GMC Project

I learned a trick for those type of bolts when I was putting on a tow hitch for my son. The kit came with a spring type device that you screwed the bolt into and the other end had a wire. It looked like a short carb spring wit a very long straight wire that you fished into the hole and them pulled up the bolt.
Grab the bolt then take off the spring and put on the washer, nut and I used an air wrench to zap it tight. Someone was on the ball when they thought taht one up.

Glade to hear you got the mounts in, but sad to here about the scratch. Hopefully it will be an easy fix for you.

He was doing the final sanding inside the cab and should be painting inside thursday. I had my camera with me and was going to take a few pic's, but my battery was dead, so no pic's.

Funny you should say that, the mayor here just ask people not to give to the corner beggers. Appearently some of them are knocking down as much as 20k a year on the corner and living on welfare and SS disability which adds up to about 30k a year. When offered a job or food they decline just wanting the money.

I think I'll get a sign and ask for truck parts and chrome.

:tim: WILL WORK FOR CHROME and beer and chicks and.....

DUDE, THAT IS SWEET. ALMOST A SHAME TO PUT A HOOD OVER IT. TOO BAD NOBODY MAKES A LEXAN HOOD TO SHOW OFF THAT ENGINE.

Thanks Jimbo!

I got a few pictures of the doors today. The guy doing the work shares the paint both with another shop and they had the both most of last week, so he didn't get the paint on the cab.:( Should be next week. Here's the picture's I took.
