Re: 1964 gmc 1000
i been adding ATF and it is doing wonders steady's the engine i have noticed a power gain in 2nd gear rpm's rise slower now and the motor sounds more stable while at high rpm's 2nd was pretty much maxing out at 3k really loud at 3,500 now i can hit 4k-4,500 before its maxing out 3rd is hitting 4,500 now up from 3,500-4k.
did a sweet burn out to from a light the other day started in 1st dropped the clutch burned out all through first and they kept sipping into the first of 2nd was a blast keep in mind i'm shifting into second before i'm even through the intersection lol these motors are kinda cool they don't take you very far but it sure the hell sounds like it with the screaming tires!!! wanting to get the dual exhaust to i think that could really help with power and fuel ecomy . |

Went to the autorama in utah was here in sandy went with my girlfirend had a blast.
We looked at all the cars there was just row after row of cars that where just perfect full restores. Took a few pictures kinda funny i didn't take a pic of my 2 favorite cars took what i did mostly for my dad he has a 66 ss chevell that needs a restore that was his first car when he was 16 has the org 396 big block. My favorite cars one was a 2 1954 Ford Thunderbird gasser was so badass colud see how he cut the front part of the frame and fliped it to get the rise out of the front but was funny when i was done looking at it my girl friend told me you just spend 30 mins looking at the ugliest car at the car show lol the other was a truck was a 1998 dodge tee rex so ****ing sick up close!!! but didnt think to get a pic!! ill add the ones i did take. |

Re: 1964 gmc 1000
When I was a kid I thought those Plymoth Superbirds were awesome. For the most part I still like them alot, but now I look at them and think what an insane body length for the wheel base.
No wonder they could not sell them, they must be stupidly hard to navigate city streets and parking lots! Anyways, you took some cool pics man! Glad you had fun, I enjoy car shows as well. |
Re: 1964 gmc 1000
been working a lot lately almost 2000 miles on the truck since i got the plates but finely got some parts for the truck got a 6ft x 4ft sheet of the heat and sound deading stuff lots of heat coming off the motor with the warmer weather and its so loud in the truck i never notice it till i have someone else in there and we are yelling lol also changed the gear oil in the tranny and rear diff replaced all the hoses up front on the radiator and heater the upper hose was to short have to exchange it.

I like that shot of your truck sitting there with the lights on Kro! Looks pretty cool!
Is that an actual painting of that picture on a wall, or a photoshop? Either way it looks cool too! Good to see you back "playing" (at least a little) instead of working. LOL |
