Here's a few pics of the speaker pods installed. I really like the way they turned out.

I added the Brother's radiator cover for a little bit of bling. I think it adds a little touch of class. :metal:

I didn't use the negative battery cable. I just bought a generic one and went straight to the block.

Very nice work on the speaker pods. I tried my hand at some fiberglass work on a dash one time and didn't turn out too good. Yours looks great! You have a super nice truck. It just keeps getting nicer too.

Read through this post last night and today, awesome build! Just got back from out west, you've got some beautiful land out there! Flew into LAX, went down to SD, through Corona to Camarillo, Up To Vegas and back to Barstow, then Castaic back to LAX to fly home. Loved spotting all the classic trucks in the area! Good luck on the rest of your project, it looks amazing!

Sweet build! This would be an amazing daily driver. :metal: What kind of mileage are you getting?

AND, thank you for taking the time to post-up parts numbers along the way and how they were to install, if they work well, etc.

Do those pods have a solid back or are they just using the metal kick panel as their back? How are you fastening them into place? Thanks

I am really enjoying it. I am getting about 18 - 20 mpg with mixed street/freeway. It really is the best of both worlds (classic truck and new technology).

They have a 1/8" mdf backer and they are just screwed to the metal under there. I just pulled back the vinyl, countersunk the screw holes, and put the vinyl back over.

You are too kind. I wish I could open a shop. It would be a dream come true, especially if it could work on C10's all the time.

They are MSD and I got them at Summit Racing. I know the part number is somewhere in this thread. I'll see if I can find the post.

Found it...MSD#32819
