You are going to have a sharp looking truck when it comes back from the paint shop. Looking forward to seeing some pics.

For me personally I like these trucks with all the trim on them with or without rallies. Either way I am sure it will look great.

Yeah from day one I said that I was going to keep all the factory trim and then talked to the guy at the paint shop and decided I would do away with the side trim. Now I am thinking I will put it back on...lol.....Decisions, decisions, decisions...

I have to vote keep the lower molding on it! It just makes it pop!

Here is a picture after I had the truck aligned. The distance between the bump stops now are the same but my truck is still leaning to the driver side 1/2". I bought a 1/2" coil spring spacer to even it out and should be getting it by the weekend. Another member said that they had their frame checked and it was tweaked causing the "Chevy Lean". They said it cost approx. 400$ to have it fixed. The reason is the frame doesn't have connecting supports on the front and the read but only near the center (If I understood correctly). I climbed under my truck and low and behold this is what I found.

I got the design back this evening from Billet Badges on my new fender emblems. I am having them change the N and the M in the word "Platinum", also I want the top of the C10 to be even with the word "Platinum" but the bottom to stay in the same position. I'm also having them add a line under the word "Platinum".

You do know that 6-8 weeks in body shop lingo means more like 4 to 6 months don't you?

x2 welcome to our Texas Family Build Thread

So many texans in here!! Just thought about it, and I think lowered trucks & stunt bikes go together too! 1 guy I ride with just bought an 84 that he's about to slam, and his uncle has a 71 that my brother just put a stupiddddd ass 350 in, we don't know what was done to the motor before, but it's mean. Another guy that used to ride with us has a 91 swb bagged, and two others have 03-04's slammed (static). All chevy's, all lowered. And an older cat in my apartments has a real clean, original 74 swb

Re: Project Platinum C10

hm.......well we do live in Texas where a truck is needed, now our choices on dropping them and slamming then are different but yeah in Texas we need our trucks.

I think it's a blood thing, your born with one manufacter you prefer above all else. Either GM (chevy, gmc), Ford, or Dodge, that's just my personal opinion.

I can't wait to see those badges there going to look awesome man!!!

Re: Project Platinum C10

The reason I love Chevy is because I grew up working on them and in the 80's most Chevy parts fit a crap load of models. I mean I had a 73 Blazer with a 350 in it and I figured out quickly that I could slap a 402BB in and bolt right up to the trans, I was hooked...I did own a 72 Mustang fastback that I totaled, and 71 Nova that my little brother totaled....I miss both those cars. When I started racing cars around we would jack the back up a bit to put larger tires on the back...
