Well finished the second revision of the backup lights still have to throw them in the housing for a test run running 2.1 amps through this setup and see how it does. Also been having issues finding the right trans tunnel cover seal but after dropping in the weatherstrip aisle at home depot found a lil item that works perfectly and seals up nicely. cut the strip down the center and 1 length is enough to do the whole cover edging it also has adhesive backing so did not have to glue it down lol.

Also got the terrain console mounted back in to finish the electrical wiring connectors n such. Found out going to have to lift the back of the console 3/4 of an inch to allow the console lid to open near fully :/ grrr always something lol. Will order some aluminum bar and fix that problem very soon. Also will begetting a 2016 Camaro center vent assembly in for experimenting with for a set of center vents it may or may now work but going to give it a shot lol.

:metal: started a long thought of project last night. coming along very nicley using 3/16th inch abs paneling to make the setup. Will make templates for it here after I have all the panels completed and installed. So far so good will be working on it more tomorrow and Saturday.

Sean

Captainfab yep using a heat gun for the bends and folds doesn't take a whole lotta heat to get things bent!

well got the glove box completed and rough shaped quite happy with how it turned out. If I make any more it will go much easier since I now know the mistakes that can happen making them rotflmao!!!! That and a better plastic bending setup then two pieces of lumber lol
But since most people won't be looking up under the dash I call this project done. Once the paint is complete can finish installing the AC vent hoses then put this up inside piece by piece. One of the mistakes is its the factory size and being made out of the abs does not install except in pieces lol. oh well happy with it plenty of clearance in the back for the vent hoses etc so its all good.
Just have tot ake it apart and clean up all the scribing lines with a lil paint remover and all done :D

Put a deposit down with a custom radiator inter cooler builder up here locally and he has started on this project. he has gotten off to a good start. The radiator is going to be inset into the new core support and 27 inches tank to tank. :D nice thing is 10 an trans cooler fittings!

he is making progress rapidly.... for securement going with a set of rivet nuts that can be tack welded to help keep them from breaking loose and rotating :D just waiting on them and the install tool to come in now. Radiator is gonna be very nice 27x19 with electric fan shroud as ya can see. Other projects are in the stalled stage waiting for body work to be done.... playing with led lighting has been fun but getting frustrated by inconsistent diodes right now. got another led lighting project in the works using one of the copper led circuits boards. More to come on that later :D

Re: 1964 GMC 3/4 ton build :D

been working on quite a few projects recently. the core support is coming along slowly got everything mocked up and found my driver side innder fender is pretty badly warped. So after digging around have an OEM unit on the way and see where that gets me lol. Also scrapped the terrain console project just was not working quite like I wanted. So I have started a new console mod project will be posting up pictures of it in the next few days. It fits the cab much better and gives me more room for components and such on the facing panel.

Ok here we go promised pics of the new console and how it is shaping up. Going to have to redo the front face panel got my vent hole dimensions off quite a bit so that panel is trashed :/ but otherwise fitting quite nicely. Plenty of space for louvers, trans temp gauge, usb port mounts. The shifter mounting plates I am currently waiting on to come in tomorrow so I can get that cut out and ready. :D

Went back to working on the alignment of the aluminum core support. Builder is drilling the front brace holes tonight then slowly start aligning everything as the front end is slowly put back together :D The repop driver side fender mounts up pretty nicely just needs some minor trimming in one spot.. will have pics of that later. going to be dropping my original powder coated inner fender back in think I got it straightened out with the aid from a bench vise lol. The one in the pictures has been reworked numerous times in it former lives with a few homemade replacement pieces so not sure I am going to invest anymore then I already have in buying it.......

also got the firewall pass through panel installed and hooked into the main harness. got to worrying I may not have good connections throughout this custom setup but then thought well it either does or it does not lol. Ifn I have to will pull it out after everything is assembled and I can test it out :D I also went back in an reworked the center console connections to fit the new console setup.

Well some more updates. converting the truck to electric e brake system has been an interesting journey but I am waiting on a few more things to come in and work on it some more. I could not get the land rover switch working so I made a filler panel to mount the switches for it in, Also finished the face panel and side panels for the front of the console. Had to do a lil rework on the e brake cable mounts and the pull bar on the factory setup.

And back to the aluminum core support got the center mounting bolt holes lined up and drilled :/ only to run into the inner fender nose is hitting one of the radiator mounting bungs grrrrrr... the builder is going to come over and look at it kinda stumped but working at it worked ok once and now we have issues lol. the 4 holes are perfectly measured out and match the factory one so I guess we will see what is going on when he gets by.....

I told him I had a factory Dana 60 with Silverado 2500 rear discs..... his eyes lit up and exclaimed "WELL NOW I HAVE A DEAL FOR YOU!!!!!!" Some cash later I walked out of the swap meet completely broke excepting for gas money lol with a set of brand new silverado 2500 rear stainless steel brake triple piston calipers.... now gonna have to work lotsa overtime to build up my paint funds again lol.....

I didn't realize that anyone made aftermarket brake parts for the 2500's. If they're SSBC, I'm sure they are a bit more than $300 new.

Also got around to getting the bed off the 60's frame out back and placed it on a dolly. Disassembly is going well just have to finish cutting the rear bed welds to get the bedsides completely loose then it will be ready for sand/water blasting and ready to primer and paint. Some minor body work will be needed on the passenger side thanks to homeless people throwing stuff in the bed and banging up the sides :/

Well also got the e brake buttons in got lucky and found an autoloc kit on amazon and ordered not badly priced either complete with aluminum bezel 2 switches and 2 plug harnesses. Also linear actuator is in and sitting in a drawer ready to go. I need to look at how to mount it to the trans cross member but that''s just a lil issue to deal with in over all scheme of things

Well been busy working on little projects and gathering more stuff lol. I found that hot wheels at some point released 60-66 key chains lol so I got me one recently and put my truck keys on it lol. Also got the alternator in and mounted to the truck waiting on the AC compressor as well at the moment. Plus got the american billet hood hinges in and currently in the process of getting them mounted and checked out.

here is the alternator lol. Also picked up a tool for my buddy who is looking at building me a in bed gas tank cover made of matching oak with chromed bed strips to match the bed. It cuts the channel on the edges of the bed boards like the factory did. Also picked up a new larger compressor I am currently getting wired into the shop and ready to go for some projects that need more CFM then my lil shop compressor can handle. And lastly saw this bad ass engine cover a guy made with an old rotted out hood :D
