Wow I really dont spend enough time in the projects section. I can not believe I havent seen this thread until today. That is going to be one bad a$$ ride when it is done. Keep up the good work. As much as I like all 67-72 projects, seeing suburban build threads always gets me the most excited.

I sprayed the under side with Eastwood's rust encapsulater and the top I whipped down with Pix-Lex rust preventer. Just wipe it down with a prep solve and start your finish work!

Did you cut out the little grooved things? or did you leave them and put a piece of sheet metal over it?

Rob~ Looking good man progress is always a good thing. My Tahoe is on hold for right now as I am out of money in my toy fund. I sealed it with a good cote of DP90 last week so it is one color but that is it for now. I did start my son's truck 51 F1 this week end because I had all the parts and needed to do something:lol:

So are you going to run 2 rows of Buckets in this Burb?

Thanks guys. We had planned on having everything in red last week, but ended up spending 3 days making an aftermarket fender fit an aftermarket door, :(. Oh well, looks like it will be this summer before it's all painted.....

Hart rod just checking out your build, i really like it. Are you still in the navy? I see you visited pensacola? You have santa rosa county plates on your burb. Is'nt santa rosa county next to escambia county? My dad was in the blues for four years. 72'-76'. I pick on him because he made two clips in the:5150: Van halen higher video. He had on his black frame buddy holly glasses. My brother and i get a big kick out of that.

I've got less than a year left. We lived in the Pace/Milton area for 8 years (I was a helicopter instructor at Whiting Field). NAS PCola is in Escambia and NAS Whiting Field is Santa Rosa. A tour with the Blues must have been awesome. If you ever get a chance to go to the Naval Aviation Museum on NAS Pensacola, do it. It's pretty awesome and it's free! Take care.

Hart Rod I forgot all about Whiting. I have been to the museum, But it has been many years. My Grandmother lives not to far out of that back gate were the museum is. I do need to take my kids during one of the visits to Grannys house. My dad retired as Command Master Chief of NAS Cecil Field. He closed that one down, Pres. Clinton closed it, they are regretting doing that.

Anyway I have posted a couple of picture of my 72' burb of the board. It is my next project. I should be starting it the first of April. I have most of the patch panels for it. I like your engine choice. The thing is looking great. I want to have it done by Thanksgiving, for the turkey rod run in Daytona, Fl..

Here's some better pictures of the rear buddy bucket configuration. I think I'm going to like it much better than the 2 rear benches.

Wait! Did I miss something? Are you starting work on another burb, or are you just using another burb to mock the seats up?

That's correct. All the other seats are done, I will just need to get the 2 single buckets done after I get my mounts fabbed up.

, I bought a parts burb that I have been stripping. I just threw the seats in to see how the dual row of buddy buckets were going to work. All I need to do is fab some mounts for the rear seats and then get them reupholstered.
