OK, here's mine- '63 GMC K1000 Custom Suburban. Different because it is a covered wagon on a shortbed frame and 4-wheel drive. Bone stock original except for the dual exhaust and aftermarket wheels. Has the 305E V-6, SM420, Pow-R-Lok diff's, Custom package, and ordered as radio delete. 88K original box A miles. Spent two years restoring this one- the most fun I have ever had working on a vehicle.

If that is an original paint truck, resist restoration, lean toward preservation. Try a hair dryer on those stickers to soften up the glue and peel 'em off easy. You scored! |
Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks
tmills213, in the bed, just above the GVW sticker, is that cut out and hinged on both sides? If so, was it just for access to something on that camper?
Looks like a heck of a great place to start!!! Have fun!! |

Look at that hood... Look at that bed!!!!! Look at that interior!!!!!!!! The thing looks like it was grandpa's, and he took amazing care of it. He just needed to wash it from time to time. |

Here is my 1964 GMC
Just waiting on some measurements from Nathan at Porter Built and then I can get started installing his new Stage II Rear Drop kit and front dropmember with power rack and pinion steering. Other mods will include Willwood front disc brakes, 700R4 trans, Ididit column, Accuair Air ride system and a Classic Update wiring kit from American Autowire. Nate is going to find me a 12 bolt rear end and fabricate a few other little pieces to make his kit fit on a frame that came from the factory with leaf springs instead of trailing arms and coils. Can't wait to get going. |
Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks
^ I've posted in these forums that these trucks still look cool even without a bed....
Your truck proves they look cool even with nothing but a cab. :D |
