Was scrounging in the fridge and found this tiny can of Coke (quarter for scale). We got it on our honeymoon when we flew SAS to Europe off a beverage cart on our way to England. The only way we could afford to go is because we stayed with my brother who was stationed in England at the time. Took some serious scrounging and a bunch of small cash wedding gifts to pull this off. Ah the good old days 36 years ago last week. We’ve kept it every fridge we’ve ever had. I have no idea what we are ever going to do with it.

Re: Random Photos ‘You took’
Don't drink it, now! Unless you have a need for aluminum in your diet, at least.
Congrats on 36. We had our 41ts in February. |

I had this '63 Nova for a short while, but I traded it for a '55 1st pickup. I think this is the only picture I have, back in '82. It had a 283/Powerglide in it, blue interior |

This is the only picture I have of it. I did the body work and took it to Miracle Paints or was it Earl Schieb? I dunno was so long ago. Just needed to put the better grill in but never had the chance. |

Fast car story- When I was working as a mechanic, the boss' son had a '74 Camaro with a 350 and a 4-speed. He was working on it and asked me to road test it. I took it around the block, and started looking into whether the secondaries (Holley) were opening up, because it was a real dog. Well, the kid kept throwing parts at it, Mallory distributor, some aluminum intake, etc. I came in to work one morning and was asked to figure out why it had "stalled" and why the "starter was bad", because it wouldn't turn over, anymore. He had put some manifold on that had a taller boss for the distributor, and also hadn't tightened the hold down clamp enough. I immediately figured out that the engine was seized from lack of oil, and pulled the pan. Yup, #5 and #6 rod caps were blue. Pulled the engine and also discovered that the cam lobes were pretty scrubbed, which explained the lack of power (NOT the secondaries, ). Rebuilt it and put a lumpy cam in it. He took it down the nearest side street after cam break-in and rear-ended someone pulling off a side street. That was it, the dad sold the Camaro. Some even younger kid's dad bought it, and within 3 weeks it had a dent on every panel but the roof! And then he totaled it. |

My friend had also leant me his '55 1st Design pickup after the crash. When he found out Lee had given me the Nova he offered to truck the pickup for it and I went for it. You can see a little bit of the truck in the picture. |
Re: Random Photos ‘You took’
My next door neighbor had a 63? Nova SS. He was a jerk and he ruined that car. He tore all the SS trim off and put in the most god awful bright blue seats. The car was bronze. They didn't look good. Nothing he did to that poor thing looked good. It was a nice car when he got it. It was a mess when he sold it.

Re: Random Photos ‘You took’
I like those Rugers. My first handgun was a Ruger 22 single six with both cylinders with a western holster and gun belt in 1972. I gave the belt away but I still have the 22 and holster to this day.

This stick bug jumped on my arm at work today. I usually see a ton of spiders so it scared me at first.
